Actually this hotel is already quite old especially on the facilities like pool , gym is really old. But I can see that renovation is on going , even lobby is now partially close
But room is considered clean :)
Staff very friendly :)
Location a bit far from center but it’s ok with taxi
Booked for one night and room is big with bathtub and hotel is opposite delipark mall with lots of shops . Parking is free they will give a paper voucher to show at exit. Breakfast is huge spread and variety.
1st time staying there..
Like the location.. near to Berastagi Supermarket and eatery.
Security was top notch.
Love the Blue Bird taxi standby ....
Front desk is very professional..
Cleanliness of Housekeeping is good and efficient
Facility is decent, room for improvement on keeping and maintain the place...
Only upset during the stay was the restaurant... Service not top notch to brand name..
Opted for the pre dawn / Sahur breakfast... Very much disappointment on selection, quantity and quality.
Top up very late.. n the egg station.. need to let the staff go for training..
Clean and new facilities
Very nice view
However the service is below average, Escape rooftop restaurant service is quite poor
Concierge service is bad not enough staff
Reception staff service is extremely slow
I have always loved staying in Adimulia for my trips to Medan .
A little suggestion please don't off the jaccuzi in the afternoon especially on Saturdays and Sundays it's a perfect retreat to soak during the noons while guests have nothing to do . Thanks
The hotel was beautiful and the employees were very accommodating. Me and my fiance stayed there a week and we loved it. The room service was prompt and the food was excellent! I'd definitely stay there again.
I love it here. Just I forgot to take some pictures in the room. Just at the buffet corner. The staff are friendly. Most Indonesians are friendly. Since it’s a new hotel there’s nothing much I can say about this hotel.
The buffet however just so-so. Not much variety.
I will come back. In sya Allah
First time staying at this hotel. Great counter service, staff was able to converse in English. Room was clean and toiletries were refilled every day. No complaints at all. Super close to the main train station which connects directly to the airport. Breakfast starts at 0630 to 1000. Every day's menu is different. One slight downside is that the dishes are labelled in Bahasa Indonesian, so you might need some help if you really want to know what the dishes are served. At 0700, the buffet starts the live omelette station and noodle station.
Housekeeping is done every day. Linens are clean, no smell, towels are also very clean. Good job to the hotel. Would recommend all types of travellers to stay.

GGuest UserGrand City Hall Medan Hotel – A Warm and Memorable Stay in Medan
My recent two-night stay at Grand City Hall Medan Hotel during Ramadan turned out to be a delightful experience — one that combined comfort, convenience, and exceptional service.
Service and Hospitality
What really stood out to me was how the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. On our last night, we ran into a bit of trouble — the AC in our room suddenly started making loud noises in the middle of the night. Not exactly ideal when you’re hoping for a peaceful rest.
But here’s what impressed me: the hotel staff handled it so well. They responded quickly, offered us a new room without hesitation, and even helped us pack and move our belongings. It’s rare to see that kind of care and attention, especially in the middle of the night. Thanks to their swift action, what could have been a frustrating night turned out to be just a minor hiccup — and we were able to get back to a restful sleep without much trouble.
Hotel Design and Amenities
The hotel itself is beautifully designed — modern yet inviting. We stayed in one of their Japanese-style rooms, which turned out to be a real highlight. The room had a peaceful Tatami area, adding a lovely touch of authenticity. It felt like stepping into a little corner of Japan — perfect for relaxing after a long day. Plus, the Jacuzzi in the room was an amazing bonus — just what we needed to unwind.
Ramadan Dining Experience
Since we visited during Ramadan, the hotel’s thoughtful approach to accommodating fasting guests was a real plus. Their Sahoor menu was fantastic — delicious, filling, and full of variety. It felt like they genuinely cared about making sure we had a satisfying start to our day.
In the evenings, their iftar session was another standout. The setup — both indoors and outdoors by the pool — created a relaxed yet festive atmosphere. The menu was well-curated, offering a range of tasty dishes at a reasonable price. To top it off, their lobby café offered complimentary tea, coffee, and small iftar snacks every afternoon — a thoughtful touch that felt incredibly welcoming.
Location
Being right in the heart of Medan was another big win. Whether you’re exploring the city’s vibrant food scene or heading out for business, the hotel’s central location makes everything easily accessible.
Room Cleanliness and Maintenance
While the room itself was clean and well-maintained, I felt the bathroom could have used a bit more attention — perhaps a deeper clean to really match the otherwise high standards of the hotel. That said, this was more about my personal preference for spotless surfaces than any major issue.
Ambiance and Atmosphere
One interesting thing I noticed was that the hotel seemed to attract a well-dressed, elegant crowd — it felt like a place where Medan’s esteemed ladies and gentlemen regularly gathered. There was an air of sophistication that added to the charm.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a hotel that offers more than just a place to sleep — one that makes you feel welcome and well-cared for — Grand City Hall Medan Hotel is an excellent choice. From the inviting Tatami room and Jacuzzi to their thoughtful Ramadan touches and top-notch service, this hotel truly made our stay memorable.
I’d definitely recommend it — and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again the next time I’m in Medan
AAliciaSo lovely! I stayed in a king junior suite which was great value for money. My room was spotless, it was such a treat to use the free toiletries, wear the robe and slippers, use the coffee machine and variety of coffees, sleep in the huge comfy bed and watch my Netflix. The restaurant has huge windows perfect for watching the sunset and the variety and quality of food was brilliant. I also loved the pool with fresh towels on the sun beds and waterfall feature. The best thing about it though was the lovely staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Only downside is it’s such a busy location, I didn’t venture out much I preferred the peace of the hotel. It’s not far from the airport though and the receptionist booked my taxi for me. I am definitely staying here next time I visit :)
GGuest UserSo, me and my husband went to medan recently and decided to stay in this hotel for 2 days. I would say that it ws NOT a pleasant stay. There ws this musty smell at the corridor and in the room. The building is not being maintained well, we can say. There ws cricket in the room .*scared the **** of me*.
Even from the start, the air cond ws nt cold enough and there ws so weird noise if we decrease the temperature, bt we wr told that its already at its maximum coldness and the noise will goes off in a while. Hahaha. As expected, the air cond ws nt functioning in the middle of the night. Hmmmm... we decided to shift to another hotel the next day.
So, please maintain your hotel, guys. 🙏 🙏 🙏
BBroeryI used to stay here during my golfing days more than 10 yrs ago. This time I came alone.
The shower is erratic, flow haywire, No Live music at Lobby Lounge, Karaoke is Closed, and my room is facing the pool,so Noisy and Loud at New year 31/12 celebration.
TV channels adequate, coffee Tea r good.
Breakfast, average and boring.
HHans SanjayaUsed to be a nice hotel, but all the furnitures seem old now. Pparking was not comfortable as it was on 8th floor. Nice breakfast and swimming pool though.

ИИгорь БушинNot a bad apartment hotel, relatively inexpensive, large room-apartment, good bed, balcony, large living room. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but delivery is five points. It is located in a good area, there are a lot of useful things nearby, from ATMs, malls, to restaurants and grocery stores. The area is safe, modern, well-lit. The reception staff was helpful and helped with a taxi to the lake. Toba, although you could use the Bluebird app (Grab refused to carry it). It seems like you can't smoke, even on the balcony, but if you really want to, you can :)) The only drawback is poor sound insulation from the street, sometimes night riders disturb your sleep.
