We booked a cosy double for two nights in February. The first room we were given on the ground floor was not clean, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned prior to our check in. The reception staff quickly changed our room which was much better. The general facilities were good, good bar service, pool / gym area was good. Only downside was the sauna wasn’t working.
We would recommend the hotel due to its excellent location, beautiful communal areas and grounds. Opting for a higher price room, overlooking the front of the property would be our choice if we stay again.
The sanitation inside the hotel is very clean and tidy
The heating, hot water and water in the room are sufficient
There is a walking path near the hotel to go up the mountain to watch the sunrise 👍🏻
We stayed for 1 night for a special occasion. On arrival we were told that the spa was closed for an event which was very disappointing as I booked this hotel because of the spa & had planned to use the pool & sauna. This should gave been communicated at the time of booking. The building and grounds were impressive but on arrival our featured superior room was freezing cold. The reception turned on the heating at our request but this should have been done hours before our arrival given that it was 8 degrees outside. We sat for an hour in the room with our coats on before asking for a portable heater due to the radiators being only lukewarm. The room never really got warm & when we came back from dinner at 9.15 the heating had been turned off again & we had to ask for it to be turned on again. The food in the restaurant was very good & the servers were lovely but unorganised. We planned to have a drink in the hotel bar but it was so cold that it was empty and not comfortable to stay. I heard kore than one staff member complain about the cold in the hotel. What could have been a very pleasant stay was spoiled by the cold. Unfortunately, we will not return.

The service was great. We enjoyed two fantastic breakfasts and a good evening meal. Great room. Our daughter said it was the best shower she’d ever had!

This is a hotel with traditional British architecture. It is located in the center of the town and is very convenient for visiting the town. We stayed on the third floor and had to walk up the stairs, but we could ask them to help carry the luggage up. The room was small but nostalgic. If you expect it to be like a big hotel, you might be disappointed, but this is a place the British love. The breakfast is good. Overall, I am quite satisfied with this choice!

Invincible satisfaction, this is the most cost-effective hotel I have stayed in the UK, although it is very convenient to eat in the restaurant on the first floor near the manor. The front desk of the hotel is also warm and the dinner tastes good. There is also a RV base next to the hotel. If you get off from Sheffield and take 218 back to Darcy Manor and then transfer to 6.1 Bus for seven minutes, follow the navigation positioning positioning. Remember to continue to walk forward for a few minutes and cross a small bridge. Navigation is not accurate. The local bus is no different from the taxi. I originally took a taxi to the hotel and found that Uber 138 pounds was not cost-effective and it was OK to take the car directly. The scenery along the way is particularly beautiful, and it is also a good journey experience ~
Lovely location, (pretty village) lovely grounds and impressive entrance. However, we weren’t in the main hotel. The room was large but old fashioned. The roof sloped at the sides which we banged our heads on several times. The window was small which made it stuffy and it was very dark, no main light in the bedroom only lamps. Bed was king size and comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. We used the restaurant once for dinner and we had 2 breakfasts and the food was nice and reasonable priced. Breakfast was self service (as ours was included) with a good and plentiful variety. The staff were friendly and helpful but professional. We didn’t use the pool in the end as it meant going outside and back inside, as our room was not connected to a covered route to the pool.
Nothing really to complain about but we did expect the room to be a bit more luxurious. Slightly overpriced for the room. I expect the price was based on the available amenities.

GGuest UserWhat a great hotel. Every member of staff I encountered was well trained and knew exactly how to engage guests and ensure their visit was exactly as they wanted it to be. From entering the hotel and breathing in the most beautiful fragrance to immaculate well designed rooms - plug and USB sockets built into the bed frame! I wish I had been able to try the spa - next time! I was supposed to get to the hotel earlier and had a table booked, but I was delayed so I had to cancel it - the menu looks amazing and certainly worth a visit for that alone. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with the usual English breakfast items, an assortment of continental options (fruit, salami and the like) and tea and filter coffee, refilled by the attentive restaurant team. I wish I lived closer so I could go to some of the special events they put on in here. Just check out the hotel website to see what I mean.

GGuest UserAwesome 1 night stay over, used the gym facilities in this occasion and were of an excellent standard all round. As always, cannot praise the staff enough and the beautiful room once again! 10 out of 10 ☺️
PPinkFrom the outside, the hotel makes a charming first impression with its elegant façade, ornate balconies, and a warmly lit lobby that exudes a sense of old-world charm. The check-in process is smooth, and the staff are courteous and eager to help.
The room was clean and spacious, the décor is a bit dated but it adds a character to the place and I like it. The only small issue was, there’s no window only a door to the balcony which is locked and we cannot access it making the room stuffy.
Also, it was difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep due to a noise of exhaust fan in the bathroom throughout the night.
The bed was comfortable and having an iron was a bonus.
Will I stay again? Definitely.
GGuest UserThe hotel itself was very nice. The room was large and comfortable (maybe too warm at times). The room facilities and freebies and bathroom was very nice and felt quite luxury. The hotel is in a natural and beautiful area where you can go hiking around it on trail, and there is a pub next door. The breakfast was lovely with varied choice. The restaurant for dinner was expensive but served great food. Parking wasnt much of an issue which made things easier. All in all a great experience, and the value for money was brilliant. My only downside was that its difficult to travel anywhere without a car from the hotel. No complaints otherwise.
GGuest UserBreakfast is not really included as such. Only the continental buffet. This is cereal, fruits, cereal bars, baked items and a large selection of cakes, including mince pies, which was odd for breakfast. The hot breakfast requires a surcharge to be paid, something I’ve never experienced before. The full English would be best described as part English breakfast, with no sausages, tomatoes, or mushrooms included which is a bit of an insult when you’re paying a surcharge. I can’t fault the service, or anything else, but this felt a bit naughty to be doing.
GGuest UserOur recent stay at the Leonardo Derby City Centre was exceptionally enjoyable. The hotel’s prime location is great. The pricing was reasonable, and we made the decision to upgrade to the executive room. This upgrade provided us with complimentary alcoholic beverages, chocolate cans of soft drinks, coffee at the hotel bar, and a 20% discount on food, which proved to be a worthwhile. It also has underground parking (get there early to secure a position. We would certainly recommend this hotel for future stays.

GGuest UserThe room was spotless, well-appointed, and offered a perfect mix of comfort and modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the little touches like complimentary water, toiletries, and fast Wi-Fi.
