Guest UserIt seems to be the former Travelodge hotel. It's built right by the road, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window in the room looking out onto it. The room itself is quite spacious, but the soundproofing isn't great. There aren't many shops nearby, just one Subway according to the map, and the hotel does have a restaurant. I guess many people stay here just for one night to catch a flight, as it's the only hotel close to the airport. They offer a paid shuttle service, $10 for one person and $15 for two, with the earliest shuttle at 7 AM. Our flight was too early, so we couldn't use it. Be warned! Even though it's close to the airport and a taxi should only be around $12, drivers might try to overcharge. Our taxi driver demanded $30. Since we had some extra time, we refused and decided to walk to the airport ourselves. It was almost 2 kilometers, and walking alone in the middle of the night with no one around was actually a bit spooky.

shoshiiiVery good stay in general. Around 10 minutes walk from all the day trip pick up locations (e.g. Brooke Street Pier). The facilities were amazing and the front desk staff members were all very supportive and helpful. Loved the welcome cookies!!
The room was big and we received daily clean ups. We visited the pool and also utilised the gym during our stay as well - very good facilities.
The bathroom wall was a bit think as we could vaguely hear people next door, but the room was completely fine - could not hear a thing.
Would recommend to all types of travellers and will definitely stay again if we are visiting Hobart again!

Yuk OiWe had the most amazing stay here, all thanks to the incredible hospitality! We arrived at Hobart Airport after a super long and exhausting journey, and we were honestly running on empty. Melissa at the front desk was an absolute lifesaver! She noticed how tired we were and immediately went to work trying to get us an early check-in. Since our room wasn’t quite ready, she safely stored our luggage for us and text us the very second it was clean. That meant the world to us!She also gave us a fantastic, super detailed rundown of all the hotel facilities.
To make things even better, our room had a stunning, super beautiful view of the lake. We couldn't take our eyes off it!

SophylovemarathonI've been to Australia three times, but this was my first trip to Tasmania. I traveled solo, taking a 2.5-hour drive from Hobart to Launceston in the north. I stayed at this Best Western Plus for two nights, and my overall experience was very good.
**Cleanliness:** Very clean, and housekeeping cleans daily. If you're staying multiple nights and don't need cleaning the next day, you can hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on your doorknob, and they'll give you an 8 AUD meal voucher for breakfast at the restaurant.
**Facilities:** Standardized beds and a bathroom. The room was spacious, very comfortable for one person. The bathroom had bath towels, regular towels, and hand towels. Laundry supplies were also provided. The minibar offered free tea bags and instant coffee. Two complimentary bottles of mineral water were in the room, with additional bottles costing 4 AUD each.
The parking lot 🅿️ was quite large.
**Service:** Breakfast was a continental breakfast, including bread, butter, jam, milk, and oatmeal.

Woodylim22An excellent hotel to stay to explore freycinet National park. You can enjoy beautiful sunset from the hotel balcony or from the beach just next to the hotel. You can take the wineglass Bay cruise from the hotel jetty. Enjoy my two night stay. All the snacks and drinks are included.

Guest UserWe didn't notice that we needed to check in before 6pm. When we arrived at the hotel after the Cradle Mountain hike, it was just over ten minutes. At first, we thought we had found the wrong entrance to the reception (it was a regular hotel, not a B&B, so we didn't expect that we couldn't check in so early. The sun didn't set until 8pm). There were two staff members sitting at the reception counter (glass door, visible from the outside), and no matter how we knocked or gestured, they just shook their hands. There was a small iron box on the door that needed to be opened with the password given in the email, and there was a key inside. But there were several big words in my email: Unable to display the content of the email! There was no way, we called the hotel, but they didn't answer and transferred the call to voice, so we had to leave a message. Just when we were about to contact Ctrip, the people inside finally came out, opened the iron box, and gave us the key. How arrogant!!!

Guest UserFairly decent for a budget traveller but the place is a bit dated and could do with some reno. The bathrooms are tiny and the faucets are leaky (imagine sleeping through the night with the sound of dripping water).

The owner was very concise and straight to the point, highlighting all the key information. The hotel is located near the market and has its own backyard that can fit about ten cars. Coles and McDonald's are a twenty-minute walk away, and there's a Chinese restaurant right across the street. It's also very close to the port.

Anonymous UserFacilities: Decent. The fireplace hums a bit when it's on at night. The bathroom has a heat lamp and a jetted tub. The room itself is quite warm, but there's no phone signal unless you have a Telstra SIM card. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby, and the lobby closes.
Cleanliness: The bathtub had a bit of dust, but everything else was very clean.
Environment: Great! We saw wombats and wallabies in the bushes. The whole place has a charming retro vibe.
