Hotel just right to the main station, 5 mins walk away. love that there was a luggage room so no need to worry if you arrived early. however there was a hiccup during our stay. where my friend forgot her small pillow at the hotel and when we emailed to ask there were no answer untill few days later with nothing was found in the room, couple of days later they found the pillow and send to us with charge, at least it was found. thanks to housekeeping and the management team.

Arrived on our ferry from Copenhagen before lunch so left luggage and wandered until checkin was possible. All so good so far. When we came to check in we asked to make sure the room didn’t have feather bedding - assured it was clear of feathers, however when went up to room this wasn’t the case. Went down, explained at which point after many discussions (explaining that I’m allergic to feather bedding over and over (as we had with the booking) I was offered another room which apparently was better (but the guy on reception didn’t seem to understand my question as to whether the new room would be free from feathers ….!) Went up to the room and of course it had feather bedding. We moved all of our luggage into the new room and my OH went down to reception this time and the same guy simply didn’t understand what we were explaining so OH requested another member of staff who did understand second time around. (Later bedding was all replaced which was then fine. ) the surprising thing was they had members of staff on reception whose English wasn’t quite up to basic requests (unusual for anywhere in Scandinavia) (while admitting my Norwegian is non-existent!) The bathroom was possibly the smallest I have ever witnessed, albeit it did have a bath with shower over. All v clean and fully functional. The pool and sauna were ok but a little small, but if you timed it you could use them. Generally the staff were a little slow (perhaps the hotel doesn’t have enough staff currently to service guests?) and service alone would put me off coming to stay here again unfortunately.

I would really have liked to have given this a five star review, because the reception staff were super friendly, making sure I knew where the tourist attractions were and how to get there on my first day and letting me use the toilet when I popped back on my last day well after I’d checked out, as well as giving me a room with a phenomenal view of the fjord, but a couple of things took the shine off for me. One was the lack of air con. I mis-understood how hot Oslo could be, which is kind of on me and not the hotel BUT the DIY open window and fan arrangement weren’t entirely satisfactory, and while I was in my room, I never felt entirely comfortable with how hot I was. I guess the opposite could also be true if you can’t control how hot or cold your room gets in winter (when I assume my imaginings of snow drifts is actually a thing). Secondly was the breakfast. I can in no way fault the food - smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, bread, carrot cake (always a joy, whatever the time of day), melon, cheese and ham, but trying to find a table was sometimes impossible. It was particularly difficult for me as a solo traveller. It involved getting up early, crossing my fingers and piling everything on my plate in one go, just in case. Some days it was fine, but one day, after walking what felt like the entire length of the shopping centre getting increasingly dispondent, I had to perch on the end of a table with a group of pensioners who were staying there after two weeks travelling up and down Scandinavia together on train. Fortunately I am mature enough to be able to make small talk, but I can see how it wouldn’t go down so well with everyone else. Coffee was also a hit hit and miss - I was only offered some two out of four days. These little quirks are a real shame, because the location is great (handy for the train and city centre tourist attractions), and as I say, the staff on reception were lovely (and based on what I heard while I was standing in line, some of the other guests can be quite demanding). If I’m in Oslo again, I would definitely consider staying here again (but maybe bring a handheld fan or multiple layers of clothing, depending on the season) and maybe avoiding the breakfast.

Nice reception. The girl told us how to go to their partner, Comfort Hotel Young Hostel, to use the laundry. Although it took us 10 minutes walk, we finally can wash and dry our dirty clothes by Nok$95. And the special hotel building is quite interesting event though we have to go through several hallways and elevators. And the breakfast is quite good and various. Not to mention it just near by the central station.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, just walking distance from the airport line. But the room is really small. There was only one person at the front desk, and I needed to book a restaurant, so I had to wait a long time for service. The front desk didn't realize that I had paid the full cost of the room online. They were supposed to freeze the credit card as a deposit, but they deducted the room fee again. Fortunately, they took a bill and checked it with the credit card bill immediately, and they found out afterwards. It took a long time to recover the overdeducted fees and additional losses caused by the exchange rate from the hotel.

This facility created solid value for my wife and I visiting our son's family here last September, and for me again this May. Located immediately adjacent to both the Tube and bus stops is hugely efficient for getting around, which is rarely more than 5-6 Rube stops or 6-8 bus stops. The ability to use both systems at a single location is great. The 'built-in' shopping complex, and the overall adjacent restaurants, create a 'village' feel that really keeps the travel time, cost and effort down. The riverside walk, especially down the Aker river to the harbourfront, makes for a long ”downtown” day, but it's so worth it. And I'm 75, recovering from 2 knee-replacement surgeries!

It's only a few minutes' walk from the subway station. There is also a small supermarket and a pizza shop nearby. The room is relatively large, new and clean. The waiter changes the sheets and cleans every day. The breakfast is also rich. The only drawback is that it would be better to install a glass door in the shower so that the water will not flow out.

BBillNot a good experience at Numa Hallen. NOT RECOMMENDED. Rooms are big, clean and quiet. However, the “hotel” is not supported by any staff.
The digital check in failed initially. We did not receive the check in email as advised. Maybe if you book directly with Numa, not a third party like Trip, this might work. Don’t know. We rang the web site and Trip advertised phone number to get a check in email. It is disconnected. This defect is recorded in previous reviews, Does anyone read these complaints?
Read the previous reviews and noted the WhatsAPP number to be found at door front. Was ready for this we thought. The WhatsAPP number only has a virtual attendant. So no verbal communication available only short text messages readable. Jumped through many hoops and eventually received our check in details on the kerb outside the hotel. Thought we would be sleeping on the street for a while.
Once inside we noted the big sign in kitchen about leaving a window open when cooking. Next morning all fire alarms in the hotel section went off. A closed window somewhere perhaps. Alarm couldn’t be shut off so we evacuated with our bags like many others. Guess it must happen often due to the prominence of the sign.
The experience wasn’t good and is a great example of technology making life more difficult. The quest to remove people from hospitality jobs diminishes the hospitality aspect. It also leaves no backup except for meaningless, valueless, unaccountable apologies.
The communications failures and fire alarm intrusion are significant infrastructure short comings.
Wouldn’t stay there again.

梁梁The room is very clean and has hot water boiler. Hot shower is very good. There is a self check-in machine at the reception. My room at the street side and found noisy from the Train, but I like to listen music during the sleep, there is not a problem to me.
JJIANLANI chose this hotel to consider that the second day of the tour was at the Sculpture Park, and it was only a ten minute walk. The hotel self-service is also very convenient. If you have any questions, you can call to communicate with the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the surroundings are very good.
Very comfortable bed, all very clean with great shower. Difficulty on getting in as booked online and hadn’t been sent door access code. However, this was sorted quickly when we rang contact number. Room wasn’t cleaned or fresh towels supplied during stay. Kitchen needed a kettle, bottle opener, and a microwave or toaster would have been useful. Didn’t discover that the there was a laundry room. garden, gym or sauna until we were leaving. Info about these in the room would be useful! Great location.
AAlexanderYAll good. Contact the management company before your trip, because you need to pay in advance on their website. This will also guarantee your receive unlock code on time.
CComer the roamerThe room was spacious and the location was convenient! The view from the 6th floor was pleasurable as well. The room itself comes with bare minimum amenities and the plug outlet are situated in peculiar areas of the room but at least the shower pressure was nice and hot. If you’re just looking for a room to lay your head down, look no further.

In fact, our apartment was in Arbins Gate 5. Digital check-in in Arbins Gate 3, very easy and quick. Super location, very close from National theater metro station, the Royal Palace, that harbour, City Center. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated. Very nice for 2 people...but we were 4... then it is really small and...with only 2 chairs. I recommend for couples. The street in super quiet, surrounded by Embassies.

I want to be fair to the hotel but we had one thing after another with this place. Firstly we arrived and couldn't get hold of customer service so we could put our bags in the luggage room. Spent 30 minutes trying to get through and in the end was given the wrong code! Luckily one of the staff helped us out after an hour of waiting around. Then when our room was ready we went up and it had not been cleaned. Old wet towels on the floor and dirty sheets. They found another room, but again we had to call (no front desk) - so another 15 minutes on the phone. The response was ”I don't think we have another room”!!! Finally got a clean room - well relatively clean. Room is okay. Small but nice to have the fridge and kitchenette. Bathroom is ridiculously tiny. Overall not great. it felt like a hostel more than an hotel. Area is not great at night and we came back to a dozen men hanging out the front smoking.

Not very pleasant service, dirty kitchen and bathroom and very odd layout. Imagine being in a strange Alice in Wonderland apartment, except it's not quaint, it's seedy. This is what our apartment felt like. Oversized furniture, lots of odd angles and surely no building code approval. Only positives were the sheets and bedding were clean and comfortable. It was quiet and 20 minute walk to the waterfront. The washing machine did not work, it did not even turn on, there wasn't a toaster, a dish cloth or even a tea towel. The bathroom had a weird hole in the wall stuffed with paper and there was a light switch? that did nothing?? I would not recommend this place, unless you're desperate!
