Sanxiong Fairy Tale Holiday Villa

It is very convenient to stay at the hotel, right at the entrance of the scenic spot. It is convenient to lie down like Ge You when you are tired. Thanks to the housekeeper for turning on the heating early in the morning. We went there during the Lantern Festival and didn’t feel cold at all. I was quite nervous when I saw the comments saying it was cold before, but it was actually OK. Maybe I should book the room earlier and ask the housekeeper to turn on the heating earlier. The communication was also very smooth. It was a pleasant trip. I will book their hotel next time.

This accommodation accepts foreigners. After booking this place, tried to contact owner via WeChat with contact provided, but owner never added me until I needed to text in Chinese from my phone (using translator). When arrived to the location he sent me on a map, I received directions to find the apartment myself. We never once met the owner of the property. All conversations using Wechat were in Chinese (me using translator). The little studio was clean when we arrived, but later at night was full of loud insects that we had to eliminate in order to sleep. The bed was very hard not comfortableat all. The kitchen was supposed to have everything available to make meals (at least was what I have read in previous reviews) but in reality had nothing, not even a spoon. It was a very simple place, a bit expensive for what you get.

The hotel is like apartment service, located outside wtown area(5-10 mins by car). There have a free car service for pick up-drop off along of stay. I contacted with them via wechat(use translate). The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is wide and clean, beautiful view of Simatai great wall. But our bathroom hot water didn't work.
Beijing Qingxin YouSHE Villa

The hotel is located pretty much at the entrance of Gubei Watertown. It is not quite a hotel, it’s more like an airbnb. We couldn’t find the front desk so we had to call to service. He picked us up where we were standing and walked us to the room. If you don’t speak Chinese you may try to use WeChat and chat with them. The room was a 2 floors apartment, with a little balcony with view to the Great Wall. It is a pretty standard room. Advice to bring your shampoo and soap, the products in the shower were smelling super bad. Around the building there are some food options and also a little grocery store.
Gubei Delin Water Town Boutique Villa (Gubeikou Water Town Scenic Area Branch)

The room is large, clean and comfortable. There is a refrigerator, microwave and induction cooker, all of which are good and can be used. There is also a balcony. It is floor heating and air conditioning, so you don't have to worry about the cold in winter. The boss is very good and gave me a hot pack. I survived the New Year's Eve mainly by relying on the hot pack. I didn't expect Gubei Water Town to be so cold. In terms of cost performance, it is a good place to live. The entrance to Gubei is at the entrance of the community, and there is a Lawson convenience store at the entrance of the community. There are also several small supermarkets in the community. You can also consider living here on weekdays. The boss picks up and drops off the parking lot to and from the community for free, so you don't have to worry about parking your car far away. You don't need to spend money to take the shuttle bus of Gubei Water Town. Just contact the boss and wait for him to pick you up. Our room includes breakfast. When the boss brought it, we fell asleep. You didn't hear the knocking or the phone call. The breakfast was very rich, with eggs, porridge, pickles, fried dough sticks, and cold dishes.

Accurate pictures as shown. Very clean and basic amenities are provided! Clear instructions to check in through WeChat. They do daily room cleaning and top up bottled water as well.. Location is very near to GuBei Water Town Tourist Center where you can get tickets to attractions and Simatai Great Wall!! Only thing to improve on is the cutlery sets availability for those who are going to do small cooking (I only saw a bowl and some plates and 2 rusty spoon 🤣) & can consider providing coffee/tea in the room, the ambience and view would be even better with a hot drink in hand~
Beijing Banshan Muyun Villa

A wonderful hotel, in a very picturesque place, we were placed in a room with a view of the wall, it is unrealistically beautiful both day and night (at night the wall is illuminated, it looks incredible), the room is clean, there are all the amenities, the beds and pillows are also very comfortable, there is a balcony where you can sit and admire the views. I also really liked the territory of the hotel, a lot of greenery, everything is clean and tidy. The hotel is located far from Gubei, on a mountain, but there is a transfer to the bottom and back, which is very convenient. We liked everything very much, thanks to the owner of the hotel! I am attaching a photo of the view from the balcony of our room at different times of the day
Beijing Jingshan Chushe Homestay (Mutianyu Great Wall)
4.8/542 Reviews
Huairou Scenic Area
The homestay is not far from the ticket gate of Mutianyu Great Wall, and it takes more than ten minutes to walk. The proprietress is very enthusiastic. Seeing that the child was not feeling well, she drove us to the nearest place to the ticket gate. The room is clean and tidy, and the decoration is warm. A ticket to Mutianyu Great Wall is also provided. Recommended for tourists who want to get up early to avoid the crowds and check in one day in advance

It is very convenient to travel by car with the elderly, children and dogs. It is located halfway up the mountain next to Gubei Water Town. The housekeeper registered the car in advance, so the car can be parked directly downstairs. The room is large and comfortable, and the children are also very happy.

Children especially like it. The room has many facilities suitable for children and they don't want to leave. The only drawback is that the bathroom is too small, but everything else is perfect. By the way, there is no USB charging port in the room socket, so don’t forget to bring the charging head and charging cable. Chargers provided in the room require additional payment
