Environment: The location is about 400 meters outside Waishui Town, very convenient! And it’s more cost-effective than the ones in Guzhai! We first got off the car to check in, put down our luggage and then went to the water town for a day. The next day we went to the parking lot and it was very close so we could check out slowly.
Service: The boss is nearby. If you need anything, she will show up quickly, which is great!
Hygiene: Clean!
Facilities: All necessary. Our room also has a balcony, and the night view is so beautiful. It’s hot outside during the day, so it’s so cool to open the balcony door and go outside to breathe in the fresh air! !

The boss was very good. I asked him on WeChat if a double room would provide two quilts. He directly arranged a standard room for me and gave me two beds 🛏️, which was very awesome.
Although we didn't arrive until 10pm on the 28th, we were still escorted to check in by staff and had to take a photo of our ID card and upload it, because the Public Security Bureau has strict management.
Facilities: The kitchen and bathroom are complete, but there is no place to put clothes, so they can only be piled in front of the TV. The socket switches are blocked behind the bed.
Hygiene: Average, the bed may not have been cleaned.
Environment: The space is a bit too small, maybe the original design was for one bed, the aisle is also narrow, after coming here so many times, this room and the windowsill outside are the smallest.
Service: The service attitude is particularly good 👌🏻
There is a convenience store nearby. The sandwiches are not delicious, but the vegetable salad is good. Remember to buy salad dressing separately. There is nothing wrong with Dianbing Dianjiang except that it is a bit expensive. The beef noodles for 38 are delicious😋

I loved my stay here. It's very close to the entrance to the Watertown, the owner was very kind and helpful, and the room was massive with a great view over the Watertown and of the Great Wall. I even saw some of the drone show at night from the balcony. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The bathroom is Western style, and there was a water refill machine as well as a kettle for hot drinks. The room had plenty of space and everything a person needs for a night or two. It was also incredibly quiet at night, which I appreciated as a light sleeper. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

- The location is excellent. It is just round the corner from Gubei Water Town. A two minute walk to the entrance hall.
- The service was good. The staff added us on WeChat and were very quick to respond to messages and queries. One stand out moment for us was when our food was 2 hours late from a local restaurant. I was struggling to communicate with the restaurant because my Chinese is not very good. Staff reached out on our behalf and sorted the issue for us.
- Cleanliness was OK. The sheets on the bed felt lovely and clean, but the apartment was not spotless. The shower had some black mould, and the floor in the kitchen felt sticky.
- The apartment itself had some pros. My son absolutely loved all the toys and the slides. It made his experience very enjoyable.
- Plenty of towels, toiletries provided.
However
- The shower leaked constantly. Every time we used the shower the bathroom would become flooded - which was a slipping hazard for my son.
- The curtains are very thin. Every morning we were woken up to a bright light streaming through the windows. This meant that my son’s sleep was not great. We did contact the staff about this. They used sellotape to stick up some bedsheets on the windows, but this fell down within minutes! We appreciate the efforts though.
- We would have felt better if there was a stair gate. As this is an apartment aimed at families, a stair gate would be good for safety.
- Limited cutlery is provided. We were given some disposable chopsticks. However very few cooking utensils / no children’s cutlery. Bring your own if you want to cook. :)
- There was only once choice of breakfast - which was not to our personal taste. Would be good if 2 or three options were provided. There is a lovely bakery around the corner and we enjoyed buying our breakfast from there for the remainder of the trip.

The room is big enough, which is more pleasant than staying in a hotel. It has everything you need. If you have a leisurely time, you can even cook your own meals. The view from the balcony is good, you can see mountains and water. It's just outside the scenic area, which is relatively convenient. Park your car in the P1 parking lot and walk to the hotel. When you arrive at the hotel, there will be someone to greet you. It is more convenient to go out to eat and buy things. It is just outside the unit building. It's just that you need to bring some thick clothes when you go, it will be cooler sooner or later. The landlord is quite enthusiastic and tells you the preferential policies for purchasing tickets.

The B&B is located in the Gubei Water Town Scenic Area. It is very convenient to go to the water town and the Simatai Great Wall. Life is very convenient. There is a small supermarket downstairs where you can buy vegetables and fruits. Breakfast and light meals are also available. There are many restaurants outside the B&B. . The B&B has two floors: the first floor is the living room and open kitchen, with induction cooker and microwave; the second floor is two bedrooms, two large and one small bed, toilet and bathroom, and a washing machine; there is a small balcony with a good view and a window to watch. Go to Gubei Water Town. The store is very welcoming, the service is attentive, and the hygiene is very clean!

Great location and wonderful staff.
Everything is at walking distance. We couldn’t ask for a better location. From the balcony we were also able to see the Great Wall, and at nights is amazing to see it with the lights on. The room was spacious, with tv and a mini fridge. The area felt very secure, and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. However, the best part were the amazing staff. They were so helpful, provided information, directions, tips, and they were so kind to offer also a lift at the end of our staying. Top notch place! Highly recommended!

Good
GGuest UserBoth the elderly and children are satisfied. There is a lot for the children to play. The swimming pool and handicraft classes are also free. Parking is very convenient and free. There is only a buffet in the evening. The staff said they were too busy to order a la carte. This is very bad. We went out to eat. dinner. Breakfast was average but not enough.
GGuest UserIt is very convenient to stay at the hotel, right at the entrance of the scenic spot. It is convenient to lie down like Ge You when you are tired.
Thanks to the housekeeper for turning on the heating early in the morning. We went there during the Lantern Festival and didn’t feel cold at all. I was quite nervous when I saw the comments saying it was cold before, but it was actually OK. Maybe I should book the room earlier and ask the housekeeper to turn on the heating earlier.
The communication was also very smooth. It was a pleasant trip. I will book their hotel next time.

Outstanding
MMandyThe host is very generous and give us a ride to the Great Wall entrance. If you ask them in advance, they can also provide breakfast and dinner with reasonable price. They also help to provide Great Wall cable cars/ slides/ lift tickets with lower price. The location is quite remote, but you can still take Didi to it from Beijing which costs around 150-250RMB. Also recommend to bring more water/ drinks/ snacks as there are no shops or supermarkets around.

JJohnUKCommunication with the owner was excellent via WeChat and all my questions were answered very quickly. I was kindly given a room upgrade and it was lovely and big and comfortable. It was very bright with an excellent view and you can see clearly see the Great Wall lights at night. There is a convenience store downstairs for anything you need. The entrance to Gubei Water town is only a few minutes walk so it is very convenient. The shower, Wi-Fi and air con all worked great. The bed is a little hard but normal for Asia and I am happy with it. I was very satisfied with a my 2 night stay.

GGuest UserI came here with my friends and kids on the weekend. It was a very good stay. The apartment is very close to the scenic spot, just a few minutes' walk. If you drive, please contact us in advance. There is a parking space downstairs. The apartment belongs to Longhu Villa. The environment is very good. I booked two king-size rooms. The room is very large with a balcony. The balcony can see the night view of the Great Wall of Water and the drone show. It is super beautiful. You can take a walk in the community at night. There are restaurants and supermarkets outside the community. It is very convenient
