Andaz Scottsdale is an artfully designed, mid-century modern enclave tucked away on 23 acres of gardens and shaded groves in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. This is a retreat ideal for travelers in search of paths less traveled: The resort’s 185 bungalows and suites feature private entrances and patios, outdoor showers, luxuriously oversized bathrooms, designer furniture, and limited-edition works of art by resident artists. Desert-inspired interiors were conceived by the team at EDG Interior Architecture + Design, who took inspiration from the innovative architects, artists and graphic designers of the 1950s Arizona art scene—luminaries including Alexander Girard, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Paolo Solari. Offering three pools, a full suite of customizable treatments at the 12,000-square-foot Palo Verde Spa Apothecary, along with a glass-box exposition kitchen at the renowned Weft + Warp, Andaz Scottsdale now inspires all who visit. From the Southwest-infused menus to unique activities under the desert sky, this is a place where artistic expression radiates and the astonishing views of Camelback Mountain provide perspective. We are not for followers, but for finders—those who are chasing whatever stirs their soul.17JUN22-15SEP2272HRS PRIOR OR 1 NIGHT FEE/ CREDIT CARD REQ

HORRIBLE PLACE, even worse staff. Working in a hotel should be for people who are friendly and kind, that extends to the people they work with. I stayed here, and while I was walking one evening outside my room I noticed a housekeeping worker sitting alone past midnight on a small little golf cart. She was distressed and almost crying, when I asked what was wrong she said she had left her car key locked in the workers office and the staff and security guard refused to help her, she had no money for an Uber no family to come get her. She said she’s a mother has small kids, and all I could think of is what kind of establishment treats people like that? Or is it just housekeeping workers get treated that way? The front desk staff was rude and condescending, like you’re bothering them by asking them questions. They think being a front desk receptionist means they get to be rude to everyone else and pretentious. If this is the way this establishment treats its workers then it’s a very good reflection of how they run it and I will not ever be staying here again, I will not recommend it and I hope they get some kind of lawsuit for treating their workers like scum.

*** Updating my former review of 1 star and changing it to a 3* overall review. My pre-vacation experience was a terrible terrible nightmare, worthy of zero stars. We were canceled on the week before our trip with zero warning or notice. I found out the hard way...we were left without a reservation and no communication of such changes. As someone wigh considerable travel and business management experience and one who hates to complain about trivial things I have to say the way this company operates in different segments (marketing, promotions, guest services, reservations, concierge, front desk management, and travel club etc) nobody knows what the next department does or has authority to do. There is WAY too much transferring, lost colls, horrific lack of communication between departments, the list could go on. They hire an outside ”marketing” department that frequently lies to prospective guests and once on property, management deflects blame to them for discrepancies. Happened to me, happened to woman at front desk while I was waiting. You hired a marketing company, if you disagree with their slimy techniques, say something, do something, fire them. Deflecting is not an answer. Guests deserve better treatment. Period. THAT SAID, our experience prior to arrival and during our stay was complete opposite. This resort is quite lovely. My family had a really terrific stay. The villas are absolutely gorgeous. We were upgraded to a 2 bed signature at check-in. Process took 5 min most. Resort is small enough to walk quickly everywhere. So very family friendly. Kids had a blast. Pools were not over crowded. Management was kind and considerate. Gave us extra pool towels and bottled water, opened the market for us after hours. No hassell with wristbands or ridiculous rules. Could eat and drink at the table by the pool. The best part was no rule nazis. It was a relaxing, enjoyable stay. Bartenders made some great White Russians 👌 Stay itself was a 5*, but giving this 3* overall for experience leading up to trip.

I recently stayed in one of the Villas and checked out on April 29. We were three friends traveling together, celebrating my birthday, I was very disappointed. The hotel was very understaffed. I had a few bad experiences with one employee, whose name was Christina. The first time, my friends and I ordered lunch at the pool bar. We were given a number that clipped onto the table. The number was not facing out directly, but on a slight angle. Christina came up to us with a plate of food, that was not ours, and in a nasty tone said, ”How can I see the number if it's not facing me”. After we finished lunch, my two friends went to the bar to settle the bill. They were standing there waiting to pay the bill and Christina was just ignoring them. Then my friend, Larisa, said something like “can I pay?” and Christina just kind of looked at her and rolled her eyes and said you should’ve said what you wanted. Then Larisa asked her why she had an attitude, and Christina got very defensive and said, ”I do not have an attitude, you have an attitude.” And Larisa reminded her of what happened at the table with the number and that you should never argue with customers, but she was still very defensive. And then after a while, just said she was sick. When we were at the pool, we noticed that all of the cabanas were unoccupied. We called the number that was on a chain and asked what the cost was. We were told by Margaret that it was $200.00. We offered $100, and Margaret said ”We would never accept that amount.” The next time we had a run in with Christina was while my friend and I were waiting at the Starbucks counter for at least 10 minutes. Christina walked past us several times and not once asked if we could be helped. I finally asked if we could place an order, and she responded in a very nasty tone, ”You have to wait in line.” We then stood in line and placed our order. I ordered a Grande Americano. She made a tall Americano. I told her the order was wrong, and she proceeded to argue with me ”That is what you ordered”. She changed the coffee to a Grande, and we sat at a high-top table to eat. While sitting at the table, we noticed that the food and beverage manager passed us, so we stopped him to tell him of our experience. Jeff told us that Christina was on our way out, and at her last review she was disciplined due to her attitude. I also mentioned to Jeff that we offered $100 for a cabana rental and Margaret said no. He told us he would buy a round of drinks at the pool bar and offered us a cabana on Sunday. When we went to speak to Jeff on Sunday to get a cabana, he first told us to take any one. Then he said ”No, they are sold, take number 4”. Well Jeff lied to us. No other cabana was occupied that day. Several employees did stand out though with exceptional service. Will who worked at the front desk. Justin at the pool bar; always polite and with a smile on his face, no matter how crappy his
