The predecessor of Laobeishi Scenic Area was the North Market, which emerged in 1921 with the development of the Fengtian commercial port. Back then, it was a hub for theaters, teahouses, shops, and snack stalls, renowned for "gathering all walks of life and attracting merchants and travelers from all directions." Folk cultures of various ethnic groups, including Manchu, Mongol, Xibe, Tibetan, and Han, blended and coexisted here, and this vibrant local life has continued for over a century to this day. Nighttime is when the area is most vibrant: neon signs light up one after another, and crowds bustle in front of the stalls, where you can eat while you stroll. When the signature performance "Phoenix Dancing in the Nine Heavens" takes place, a phoenix dances in the air accompanied by lights and music, often prompting tourists throughout the venue to raise their phones. Traditional Laobeishi street performances, such as wrestling and folk arts, continue to this day.Shenyang · 14.8 km from downtown

West Pagoda is one of the "Four Towers" of Shengjing, commissioned by Emperor Hong Taiji of the Qing Dynasty. Construction began in the eighth year of the Chongde era (1643) and was completed in the second year of the Shunzhi era (1645). It was named for its location in the western suburbs of Shengjing at that time. The pagoda features a white, Tibetan-style, bell-shaped structure. The current version was rebuilt on the original site in 1998 according to its original appearance and stands over 20 m tall. When the original, older pagoda was demolished due to age and disrepair, an underground palace was discovered beneath it, from which artifacts such as Buddha statues were unearthed. The temple grounds are compact, with highlights concentrated in one area. Passing through the mountain gate, you are immediately greeted by the white pagoda. Behind the pagoda, the Hall of the Dharma King houses the Maitreya Buddha. Passing through the moon gates on either side, you will find the Mahavira Hall, which enshrines the Three Bodies of Buddha. The white pagoda and the halls complement each other, making it a great spot for photos featuring both the pagoda and the halls in the same frame.Shenyang · 14.9 km from downtown

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

I rode a shared bike along Zhongjie Street in Shenyang to get to the Shenyang Imperial Palace. The street was really lively, but apparently, you can't park bikes along the way; you have to go around to a farther area to park. It seems that the city center commercial street isn't suitable for shared bikes. The next morning, I walked back to Zhongjie Street. There weren't many people on the street that morning. I saw Liu Laogen Grand Stage, but when I turned into the Imperial Palace, there was already a long queue waiting for it to open.

Qipanshan is a famous mountain in Shenyang City. It has a wildlife park, a film and television city, a World Horticultural Exposition Garden, many villa areas, and an outlet town. The scenery is beautiful, but it is quite far to get into the scenic area. During holidays, it is often impossible to drive in or out.

Taking the kids to the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Museum was an immersive scientific feast! In the interactive exhibits, children operated light and shadow experiments and built mechanical structures, their eyes filled with curiosity and excitement. The aerospace, physics, and life science sections were richly illustrated with engaging explanations, making abstract knowledge intuitive. The entire experience was a fun and educational one, satisfying their thirst for exploration and planting the seeds of scientific thinking – a truly meaningful family time that's worth visiting again and again!

I wanted to go shopping in Old Taipei City in the evening, but it was already past 9 o'clock when I got there, so I couldn't see the show. Unexpectedly, there were not many people around, except for a few food stalls. I walked into the mall and saw that there was no one in sight. There were no doors on the second and third floors, and the lights were not on. Add to that the rows of blood-red lanterns, and it was a straight-up horror movie scene. If an NPC showed up at that time, it would definitely scare the hell out of me 😂

Night tour in Shenyang recommends visiting Xita . 【environment】 🏮The main street of Xita Street is nearly 500 meters long. Both sides of the street are lined with various shops in Korean architectural style. Most of the shop signs are in both Chinese and Korean, and some are only in Korean. At night, the lights are flashing and the crowds are surging. . 【gourmet food】 🥩There are many Korean rice cake shops on this street, which are very popular. They also sell seaweed rice rolls, rice balls, and kimchi. 🐟Old lady fish cakes, fried chicken, Coleslaw bread...so many delicious things . 【Serve】 🧢Uncle Hat has a service point that can provide many passenger services, such as luggage storage, mobile phone charging, rest and water replenishment...
