Xingcheng's most famous seaside destination is Juehua Island, so this time I decided to visit it. To get to the island, you need to buy a boat ticket. There are regular and express boats. I recommend the express boat; it's 30 yuan more expensive, but the experience is completely different. The island is quite large, so renting an electric scooter is crucial. Importantly, rent one with a covered scooter. Before renting, be sure to test drive the scooter to ensure the brakes are working properly. After renting the scooter, you can explore the island. There are only two bathing beaches on the island: the east and south. Accommodation is concentrated in these two areas. Of the two, I recommend the south one because it has more evening activities. Although it's farther from the pier, the hotel provides shuttle service. For sea hopping, I recommend not going to the beach. I recommend visiting the island's strange rock beach and the mudflats west of the pier. At low tide, you can find large crabs and various shells. The commercial level of the entire island is relatively good, and it is very convenient to eat, stay and travel. However, don't expect too much when it comes to eating. I suggest ordering some seafood home-cooked dishes here. Their cooking level is really too average. In short, the most important thing is to have fun, so don't expect too much. Overall, I still highly recommend this island. It is a good experience.
