The e-SIM worked fine, except for the three hours of Maya outage from December 31st to January 1st, 2026. Otherwise, the connection was fine, including calls. I was traveling to Goa.

I set it up before departure according to the manual, turned off the main Japanese network before boarding the flight, and then simply turned on the purchased SIM card when I arrived at the local airport. The connection was flawless. The experience was just as smooth and seamless as when using it domestically. The speed was so smooth that I couldn't tell if it was fast or slow. There were no issues with the coverage area, even when I went out to the suburbs, and I frequently used Google Maps at times, but there were no problems.


