I installed it before departure, and once in Japan, I could simply turn on mobile data. No need to change SIM cards, carry a data switcher, or worry about extra charging—incredibly convenient for someone like me who's always with their phone. In actual use, I maintained a 5G signal most of the time. Whether in Naha city, on the highway to the Churaumi Aquarium, or at popular tourist spots like American Village and Senaga Island, the network speed was consistently stable. Using Google Maps for navigation, checking attraction information, uploading photos, and watching short videos was completely smooth without any lag. The only noticeable issue was that the signal occasionally switched from 5G to 4G when entering some indoor areas or large buildings, but the overall connection remained smooth and didn't affect normal use. Once I left indoors, the 5G signal quickly and automatically returned. This rental plan was for 7 days and cost only NT$268. Considering current market prices, this price offers excellent value for money, providing stable 5G network quality and saving you the hassle of carrying a Wi-Fi router. For me, the worst thing about traveling isn't getting lost, but being without internet. Navigation, restaurant searches, translation, contacting family, and instant photo sharing are almost all inseparable from my phone. This Japanese 5G eSIM was virtually worry-free throughout the trip, quietly fulfilling its tasks. It became one of the most easily overlooked yet most highly recommended travel essentials. If you're like me, preferring independent travel and road trips, and don't want the added burden of carrying a Wi-Fi router, then spending less than NT$300 for seven days of stable network quality is, in my opinion, a very worthwhile investment.
