I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.

Since it's Tokyo, i expected there would be no problem at all with signal. Also visited Niigata for a day, and no problem either. I choose this docomo (actually iijmio) altho 4g, as a "just in case" backup of a different service provider, because i chose softbank 5g for my husband. Rates here in Trip are cheaper than in other platforms, so i always buy here
