The Green Vault Treasure Museum, located in the old town of Dresden, can be called the treasure museum in Europe. It was built by August II in 1723. In addition to the typical Baroque style used in the building, what is amazing is the amount stored in this treasure trove, rich in exhibits from the Baroque to Classicism periods. The treasure hall is divided into the old hall (1st floor) and the new hall (2nd floor), a total of 2000 square meters. Among them, the old museum is divided into 10 themed halls with about 3,000 collections. It collects masterpieces of jewelry and gold jewelry processing art, as well as treasures made of amber and ivory, gemstone utensils and highly artistic bronze statues.Dresden · 256m from downtown

The Dresden Palace is one of the more magnificent and important palace buildings in Germany. Since 1485, it has been the residence of the successive families of the Saxon Kingdom. The palace was once destroyed by fire during World War II, but was restored and rebuilt according to its original appearance. This palace building combines a variety of architectural art styles. The goose-yellow exterior walls are matched with red roofs and bronze domes, which are quite elegant. The huge palace is now open to the public as the "Palace of Arts and Sciences" and houses the Green Vault (Grünes Gewölbe), the New Green Vault (Neues Grünes Gewölbe), the Gallery (Kupferstich-Kabinett), the Armoury (Rüstkammer) and the Currency Pavilion (Münzkabinett). In addition, the Turkish Chamber of Commerce exhibition, art library and other places are also open to the public, and the exhibits are very rich. The Green Vault Treasure Hall can be described as the treasure of the palace of Dresden. This largest treasure hall in Europe displays thousands of precious collections for the protection of cultural relics. The old treasure hall is located on the first floor. The floor of the exhibition hall is paved with black and white marble, and some walls are decorated with velvet, which is very ornate. There are exhibition halls with different themes such as the Amber Pavilion, the Ivory Room, the Silver Room, the Treasure Room, and the Heraldry Room. Among them, the four sides of the Gem Hall are equipped with gold-plated silver mirrors, which are very shocking. In 2010, the New Treasure Hall was newly established on the second floor of the Royal Palace. The exhibition hall is equipped with anti-dizziness glass and advanced lighting technology to better present every detail of the exhibits. It mainly collects jewelry from the Mughal Dynasty in India, including 4909 diamonds, 160 rubies, 164 emeralds, sapphires, pearls, etc., which are dazzling. One of the cherry pits with 185 faces and the frigate (Fregatte, Sign) carved from ivory are not to be missed. If you are a painting lover, you can go to the gallery and have a look, there are Toulouse-Lautrec, Picasso, Baselitz, Dürer, Van Eyck, Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Fragonard Prints, drawings and other works by well-known artists such as Kaspar David Friedrich. If you feel that visiting from a distance is not enough, you can go to the study room on the third floor of the palace to appreciate the famous paintings up close. The currency hall adjacent to the armory shows the history and culture of Dresden through small coins and medals, and the coinage machines on display are also very interesting. In addition to the various exhibits in the palace, the murals on the outer wall on the north side of Augustus Road are also not to be missed. On this 102-meter-long wall, a tile mosaic is painted with a height of 8 meters. The long fresco "DerFurstenzug" (DerFurstenzug), the figures in the picture are the equestrian statues of the Saxon kings; the tiles used are as many as 27,000, which were built at the end of the 19th century and completed in the 20th century. At the beginning of the century, it was one of the few originals of the entire palace that survived World War II.Dresden · 236m from downtown

The world-famous Cathedral of Our Lady in Dresden was rebuilt 59 years after it was bombed. On October 30, 2005, Dresden held a large-scale "Inauguration of the Reconstruction of the Cathedral of Our Lady", including representatives of the British royal family More than 100,000 people including dignitaries attended the event. The Notre Dame Cathedral in Dresden was built in 1726. It was designed and built by carpenter Olger Bell and took 17 years to complete. The Notre Dame Cathedral is 95 meters high, huge in scale, exquisite and gorgeous. It is a representative work of Western new church architecture, a landmark building in this ancient city, and a more beautiful scenery in Dresden. At the end of World War II, the Cathedral of Notre Dame was reduced to ruins under the bombing of the British and American air forces, leaving only a 13-meter-high wall. This is the eternal pain that the war brought to the people of Dresden. After the reunification of Germany, with the support of donations from Britain and the United States and other countries, Germany decided to rebuild the Notre Dame Cathedral. Since 1994, the reconstruction work took 11 years and cost 179 million euros. The reconstructed church was basically built as it was, and many relics were carefully preserved and became part of the church's construction materials.Dresden · 339m from downtown

Dresden is a city that is worth visiting in depth. Through this city rebuilt after World War II, you can see the value of life. It is a must to visit the palace here. I bought the ticket for the group entrance on the platform in advance. Unfortunately, the tour guide was in German and I couldn't understand it at all, but it was a feast for the eyes.

This church is closely related to Heinrich Schütz (1585-1672), the greatest German composer of the 17th century. He is buried in this church. Of course, in the old one. Unfortunately, it was destroyed when the new church was built. Schütz was born less than 40 years after Martin Luther's death. He gave great artistic achievements to German Protestant church music. As for Schütz, he actually studied law at first. When he was a church choir singer at the age of 13, he was discovered by the Count of Hessen-Kassel and funded his research in different fields of music. In 1609, he went to Venice, where he spent three years studying music. It can be said that he was a very talented musician, and he also used all the talents given to him by God in church music: 500 works handed down by him - almost all of them were composed according to the Luther Bible. "The Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ", written in 1645, can be said to be one of his best works. Unfortunately, it was never performed during his lifetime and was not published until 1873.

There is a famous viewing platform beside the Bella River - the Brühl Terrace, which is suitable for walking, drinking coffee, and admiring the beautiful buildings of the city, the scenery on both sides of the Bella River, and taking pictures of the August Bridge. It is also the best place to take pictures. It is called the "Balcony of Europe" by the locals. On the other side of the platform is a gorgeous government building with neat rows of stairs under the building. Sitting on the stairs, you can enjoy the scenery of the old city on the other side. It is said that this is the open-air theater in Dresden, where performances are often held.

Entering the concert hall, you will be shocked by the five-story semicircular courtyard. The Roman dome, murals, golden chandeliers, and red floor seats create an unforgettable environment, which is comparable to the stunning effect of the Golden Hall in Vienna.

The Saxon town of Pillnitz is a district of Dresden, with the Pillnitz Palace and Park on the Elbe River. The Water Palace is built on the upper side of the park like a reflection of the Mountain Palace. Both palaces combine late baroque and Chinese architectural styles. Two Asian-style palaces are located on both sides of the "New Palace" built by architect Christian Friedrich Schulich. The most beautiful attraction in Pillnitz is the beautiful Pillnitz Park. There are many rare trees in the park, especially the "Dutch Garden" and the coniferous forest garden - "Taipei". The Vineyard Church designed by Popelmann is also a charming building with its high hipped roof and many branches entwined below. You can go to the Brühl Terrace, also known as the "Balcony of Europe", from which you can see the cathedral and the Semperoper Opera House.
