Things to do in Cesky Krumlov

Český Krumlov Castle sits atop the town, accessible by a covered bridge overlooking the Vltava River's bend. The castle museum displays some antique furniture and weapons, but the most worthwhile attraction is the tower, from which one can climb and see a cluster of red rooftops. The rear garden is meticulously manicured, with a pond reflecting the trees. The castle theater is usually closed, only accessible from the outside. A complete tour of the castle and town takes about half a day. Walking back to the old town across the bridge, you'll pass many shops selling amber and puppets.

Beautiful place, very serene and peaceful place to relax mind and reflect on self.

The Cathedral of St. Vitus in the Czech Republic is an important late Gothic building and a Czech National Cultural Monument. The current construction dates from 1407 to 1438, with the last major phase being the neo-Gothic reconstruction in the 19th century, when the original Baroque onion-domed tower was demolished and replaced with the current neo-Gothic tower.

Walk through the semicircular battlement gallery and come to the viewing platform of the castle garden, where you can overlook the entire town. The Vltava River flows through the center of the town in an S shape. The orange-red roofs that fill the picture, the painted towers and churches in the distance are like a colorful oil painting full of three-dimensional sense.

Located in the Market Square, the Town Hall is a white building. To be honest, the buildings here are all over the city. The white three-story building is the Town Hall, with the Prague national emblem and the CK town emblem on the building. The Town Hall is a 14th-century Gothic building It seems that you can't go in to visit. I walked around but couldn't find the entrance. There was a police car parked at the door. It's peaceful [laughing and crying]...

This square is the liveliest and most festive place in the whole town. It is naturally much smaller than squares in big cities, but it has a wide variety of street art performances and many shops.

I realized that I didn't take a photo of this attraction. It's right in the center of the square, so it's also the gathering place for tour groups. There's a cinnamon roll place next to it that tastes really good.

Can this bridge be called a "bridge"? It is just a wooden plank bridge, and only pedestrians can pass through. But it is indeed the most important bridge on the Vltava River in CK. Every tourist will walk across this bridge to the castle on the other side of the river.

We choose the horse carriage ride up, it was €8 a person. It took around 20 minutes and we enjoyed the forest view. Make sure to arrive and park at least an hour early. The entrance time is exact to every 5 minutes for crowd control. The entrance ticket includes an audio set and takes around 30 minutes. You are moved thru the rooms rather quickly. There are free lockers at information at the entrance area if needed. No pictures can be taken during the tour. **not handicapped friendly ** must be able to walk for 2-3 hours and climb up and down many flights of stairs. There are no elevators. We planned to walk down but it began to rain. So we took the horse carriage again -/€4/person.
