Matsuyama san is great, with patience and kindness, he explained everything in detail, we had a good start in this wonderful hotel.
The food was offered in traditional Japanese style, 怀石料理,The service was impeccable. There are three hot springs in the hotel and next door, we enjoyed all of them. A great stay. Highly recommended.
Very good hotel, good price, good location. This hotel has very good arrangements, good facilities, near JR Nara station just 3 minutes by walk. This hotel provides pajamas, comb, cotton bud, toothbrush for picking up at front of lift. This hotel is very clean, provide towels everyday. All facilities in the room has everything, i really enjoy my 5 days staying in this hotel
I have stayed here many times. The environment is very good. The price is affordable. The subway is very convenient. The nearby restaurants are also very good. The service is good. Overall, it is OK. I will choose here again on my next business trip.
If you're traveling with Baggage,it would be really difficult to go
It's a bit far from Bus stop or Station 27mins
And it's really dark at night on the way to Hotel
If you're not taking a taxi, you have to walk on narrow sidewalk with no streetlight
The most scary thing is The Cemetery is beside the Hotel
If you're walking, you have to pass through that place definitely
The hotel is so fine ,grand and feel luxurious more than the same hotel in Oosaka
Everything is so clean and spacious
I booked a twin room, but when I got there it turned out to be a double. I then contacted the front desk and was promptly shown to a twin room. The building, the room, and the large communal bath were all clean. The free drink bar was also nice. However, it was closed at night, which was inconvenient when I was thirsty. I know that the tap water in the bathroom is drinkable, but I'm not really comfortable with it, so if they just provided bottled water in the room I'd have no complaints. Overall it was a very good place to stay.
Actually i had no plan to stay at this AB hotel for 3 nights. Due to super low prices on weekday, i extended my stay for 1 more day to have more rest & relax to hike at this mountain for total 5 hrs duration.
I stayed at this hotel after mid-April. Overall, the room and service were decent. However, the air conditioning was a big disappointment. The hotel uses a centralized system, which means you can’t control the temperature yourself. Unfortunately, it was set at around 27–28°C — way too hot! It was really uncomfortable and I couldn’t sleep properly.
In the end, I had to open the window just to get some cool air. I noticed that many other rooms had their windows open too — looks like I wasn’t the only one struggling! Honestly, the aircon was pretty much useless. You’re better off turning it off completely and just enjoying the fresh air from outside.
Good service and Nice breakfast,I appreciate the front desk staff Mone, the staff (male), and the restaurant staff! They are very helpful. First, We missed the shuttle bus at first day about 3:01pm, he saw the bus just had gone and he ran to catch and stopped it. Then we got up late at the second day, the last order should be 9:30pm.but we forgot the time, they still let us to take the breakfast. Last , Mone always keep her smiling face to help booking the taxi and packing our gift, and also introducing the surrounding scenic spot. Thank you so much!
Excellent room, neat and clean. They got everything you need in the self serve counter, facial cleanser, toner, you name it they have it. Big bath tub and super comfy bed. Extraordinarily buffet breakfast and good position, right next to Nara station. One more thing to mention is their services, better than any other place.
The traditional Japanese room exceeded my expectations. Compared with hotels in downtown Kyoto, it is cost-effective, close to attractions, and has a good environment. The hotel's hot spring water is great and good for health. Compared with public open-air, indoor, and private reserved baths, I prefer the open-air bath, which is more comfortable and not easy to suffocate. The private reservation is a bit tight with 40 minutes, and the water feels a bit unclean when I go there at night. I don't know if the water can be changed every time. All the products provided are Pola, and some locals go there. I will sweat after a while after taking a bath. The free herbal tea provided on the first floor is also very comfortable. I will go there next time. The five-story pagoda is under repair, which affects the view a bit.

GGuest UserOverall, the hotel is new and looks very nice. For family traveling, it is not very convenient, especially if you have strollers as there are places without ramps, only stairs.
There is not much amenities you can use in the property without paying extra. With such a high room price, you would expect more.
The location is very close to the Nara park and you can see deers inside the property.
The included breakfast can be better, I don’t think the portion is enough, but they do provide rice if you need more.
GGuest UserExceeded expections on all grounds! I am so happy with the hotel I wanted to spread the word. This hotel has great old world charm and more. I was a little worried about the condition of the hotel (more than 100 years old!) but everything was fine. I stayed at the Main Wing / basic room with park view. The bathroom was basic (business hotel like) but very clean, but the room / bedding and the view at our window was wonderful. Given the low price point, we were very happy with the room. Definitely recommend the Main Wing, and if you can, a room with higher price point.
All staff, from shuttle bus / concierge / front desk / bar, are excellent. We really enjoyed the check in process - you can sit at the lounge admiring Einstein's piano while the front staff comes calling your name. Also try the tea lounge both during the day and night (turns to a bar). I would also like to extend special thanks to Korean speaking front manager Lee Su Jin who helped us in so many ways. She really made our stay comfortable.
One thing to note about Nara city itself is that most venues close at 4pm and have unpredictable operating hours. You can't just walk around hoping to sit down at a cafe or restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advance of your trip and I'm sure Nara hotel concierge can help with this.
I really enjoyed Nara Hotel and look really forward to returning.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel seems a bit dated but very well maintained with an old world charm. The room was reasonably sized and i really liked they implemented a lounge for all guests to access from 2-7pm with a wide range of drinks even sake and wine.

AAnnigufenyouxiangongsiI stayed here for one night. The room was relatively large for a budget hotel. Unfortunately, there were no non-smoking rooms when I checked in. The smoking rooms on the floors still smelled of cigarettes. I quickly changed hotels after staying for one night.
The location is very good. There is a Kintetsu station right outside the door, and it is also close to major attractions.

GGuest UserThe location is right in the shopping street and also at the Kintetsu exit, it is only 15 minutes to go to the park. The staff is warm and courteous, the hot springs are fine but quiet enough. The hotel is old but tidy, there is no daily necessities except old towels, including a blow dryer in the hot spring area, and there is nothing towels lock. Of course, this price can't be too much, remember this is a hotel. I was impressed by the invincible location and courteous staff, I can't say whether I like it or not.
