Sassi di Matera
We stayed at this small hotel in Matera, which despite being small has all the necessary amenities. One of the advantages is that it is located close to the road, which avoids long walks with luggage through the ups and downs of the small town (which are many, believe me) since car traffic is very restricted. It is worth noting the kindness and availability of Salvério, the manager, with tips on tours and meals in the town! I didn't give it the highest rating because the pillows weren't as comfortable as everything else (a minor detail, as I said before). I recommend it!

In the reception offer of Matera, which has not yet been particularly developed, it is certainly a very valid option to consider if there is no absolute need to stay in Saxony, of which the distance is really small as it is preferable to approach one of the parkings for payment (e.g. Scotellaro) in the absence of other free parking solutions. Since the first telephone contact with the structure, we have found a serious person in Mrs. Bruna, who feels responsible for taking up customers in the best ways and not missing them anything. And that is what we actually found at our arrival when the keys of the two rooms were delivered to us, spacious, comfortable, carefully and with rigorous cleaning and all the information that was useful for the The room was very good and the room was very good and the room was very good. We spent two nights in a quiet and familiar environment that made our experience in Matera pleasant in every respect. In the end, a B&B has been found that for those who are likely to stay in such facilities, it can be considered as highly competitive even with medium-high-profile hotel solutions that do not always guarantee this level of The Commission has not yet been able to make a proposal for a directive on the protection of the environment.
Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & Spa

Sassi di Matera
I recently stayed at the Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel and Spa in Matera, and it was an unforgettable experience. The rooms are carved out of historic caves, offering a unique and enchanting atmosphere that blends modern luxury with ancient charm. The location is perfect, nestled within the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site, providing easy access to the city’s main attractions. The hotel’s amenities are top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the spa facilities, which include a sauna, hammam, and a heated indoor pool. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met with a smile. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, adding to the overall comfort of my stay. One minor downside was the cost of some extras, which felt a bit high. Additionally, while the cave-themed rooms are stunning, they might not be for everyone due to the unique layout and lighting. Despite these small issues, the overall experience was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unique stay in Matera.

La Suite Matera Hotel & Spa

We had a wonderful time at La Suite. It was a last minute switch from a luxury hotel too far out of town. We were so lucky to have found la Suite. It was a great location just off the pedestrian area, easy to walk anywhere, the Sassi entry points and the many good restaurants in Matera. Particularly handy in the recurrent rain we faced. The staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants etc. Its a great base in Matera. Only hiccup was a bit slow breakfast on the last day when they didn't have many guests and everyhing had to be pre-ordered and a slight miscommunication on the laundry - it showed up finally. All in all a lovely place.
