Travelogue of Yebisu Beer Hall in Tokyo
On an autumn afternoon in Tokyo, just stop at Ebisu Station and walk for five minutes to reach the hidden version of the beer sanctuary - the Yebisu Beer Museum 🍺 next to the サッポロビール headquarters! This is a must-visit spot for beer lovers, super chill and atmospheric ~
Once inside, you are seduced by the giant brewing copper slot and soft lighting, the aroma of beer, instantly travel back to 1876, feel the just brewed サッポロ beer history feel. The museum exhibition area is completely free! Showcasing Ebisu beer from the old days, poster design, evolution of classic beer bottles, and why the brewing process is so great! There are also interactive screens to watch how Ebisu beer has entered the mainstream market from its pioneering days in Hokkaido and become a hit part of Japanese life.
Particularly interesting is that the exhibition has introduced the popular character "Ebi Shoujo" - the smile super healing Fushin trademark, I feel very happy to read 😄.
The most anticipated, of course, is the tasting session! I took the “Yebisu Tasting Tour” (only about 500 yen) with two selected beers + professional tour. The guide brother was very friendly, explaining the brewing secrets and teaching how to taste properly - the first cup was Yebisu Premium, smooth with a light malt aroma, and refreshing slightly bitter, very easy to enter; Tasting area all wooden bar design + warm lighting, sit down and sip slowly, really super relax🥳.
Not to mention, be sure to visit the souvenir shop before leaving! There are beer mugs, T-shirts, and specialty snacks, all very attractive. I bought a set of mini beer mugs, ready to go home and share this unique memory with my friends!
Finally, we went to the beer restaurant next to it and ordered a fried chicken with beer
This Ebisu Beer Hall experience was really fun and learning, not only to learn about the history of Japanese beer, but also to feel the blend of Tokyo city and tradition! Whether you are a beer fan or a hipster traveler, this place is definitely worth marking, a must visit next time in Tokyo 👍 ~
