During this trip to Tokyo, I stayed at the "Comfort Hotel Tokyo Higashi Nihombashi." The entrance is right next to Higashi-Nihombashi Station! There are direct trains to both Narita and Haneda airports, so you absolutely don't have to deal with the nightmare of hauling your luggage around for transfers. That’s a huge plus! 📈✈️ There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs 🏪, so if you get midnight cravings or need a drink, you're there in seconds. Although the hotel facilities feel a bit dated and show their age 🕰️, the room size was a fantastic surprise! It's rare in downtown Tokyo to be able to fully open and lay a large suitcase flat on the floor 🧳✨ without it blocking the way. This is super important for anyone who loves shopping! The hotel also offers free breakfast 🥐 and free welcome drinks ☕️, which is a really sweet touch when you come back tired from an afternoon of exploring. Besides having a subway exit right at the doorstep, it's also just a short walk to Bakurocho Station and Bakuroyokoyama Station 🚈. If you're looking for ultimate convenience, need enough room to open your luggage, love having a convenience store downstairs, and don't mind older decor, this is a top-tier choice for staying in Tokyo! 👍💯

This year, I truly immersed myself in a spring cherry blossom feast~ From morning till night, in sunshine, rain, and overcast skies, I visited all the cherry blossom spots. Here, there are far fewer people than the popular check-in places, but the flowers are just as stunning. No need to squeeze through crowds to take photos; you can calmly watch petals fall with the rain, listen to birdsong, admire the elegant posture of egrets, and even stop to photograph the plump koi fish. The walk to the riverside is lined with cherry blossoms, with fresh green azaleas contrasting the pink and white. The cherry blossom tunnel I photographed this morning is my favorite this year~ It’s going to rain again tomorrow, so this year’s cherry blossom season is probably coming to an end.

Tokyo Tower is not just a "check-in spot," but more like a complete photo route. This time, I photographed it from daytime all the way to night. From my experience, the best recommendation is not to go up the tower, but to take a slow walk around the base and surrounding area. During the day, Tokyo Tower has more of a "structural" feel. Shooting upward from below, the red and white steel structure looks very clean, paired with the gray-blue sky, creating a powerful image. I suggest finding a road or slope with a sense of extension to add depth to your composition. Dusk is the turning point. When the lights turn on, the entire Tokyo Tower instantly glows orange-red, setting the mood immediately. This time is the easiest to get great shots, and there won’t be too many people. If you want photos with a stronger "Tokyo vibe," be sure to include street signs, streets, and pedestrians. Around Shiba Park and Akabanebashi, just a few steps will find you great spots that combine urban elements while framing the tower completely. The night view is the highlight. Whether from street-level shots or high vantage points, Tokyo Tower becomes the absolute center at night. Especially when shooting from above, with city lights spreading out, the tower looks like a glowing coordinate axis—truly breathtaking. #2026NewYearCelebration Day 1: Tokyo Station - Asakusa 📍 Tokyo Station Calbee Plus Jagari-ko French Fries. It tastes exactly as you'd imagine, but it's still delicious. Recommended to stop by while exploring Tokyo Station Character Street! However, it's not worth making a special trip just to eat this. 📍 Sensoji Temple Since it's the beginning of the year, I tried drawing a fortune just for fun. It's a good event to try without pressure; if it's good, that's great, but if it's bad, you just tie it up and leave. It's worth trying at least once as a sightseeing experience. Day 2: Harajuku - Shibuya - Yoyogi Park 📍 Gariguet Harajuku Gariguet, which has now entered the Korean market as well. It is quite expensive in Japan, but the taste wasn't much different from what I expected. In fact, the one I received felt a bit burnt, which was disappointing. I have no intention of visiting again. ** 📍 SHIRO The prices are reasonable, and since it is a hot perfume brand in Japan, it is a good place to stop by if you are interested in fragrances. There are many testers available, so it is fun to try out various scents. 📍 Ichiran Ramen It may seem common, but there is a reason it remains so popular. The flavor is smooth and not overpowering. I highly recommend trying it at least once if you visit Japan, but the wait is long, so I don't think it is worth going multiple times. 📍 Yoyogi Park A park perfect for taking a break in the middle of the city. It was the perfect healing spot to stop by in the middle of a busy schedule. It is especially beautiful if you go at sunset. 📍 Tsukishima Monja Kuuya Shibuya Tokyo's famous(?) Monjayaki. Unlike its appearance, the taste is addictive. A must-visit if you are traveling in Tokyo. Day 3 📍 DisneySea The lines are really long, so going late is not recommended. If possible, it is recommended to purchase a pass in advance to secure the rides you can go on. Day 4: Ginza - Tokyo Tower - Shinjuku 📍 Pain Maison The originator of salt bread. Rather than a unique flavor, it is affordable yet faithful to the basics. The red bean paste butter flavor, the salt bread with omelet, the melon salt bread, and the original were all delicious, but I can't forget the melon salt bread. 📍 Shiba Park One of the famous spots to view Tokyo Tower. If you bring a mat, you can sit on the grass. We rested here while eating Pain Maison. 📍 Coffee Seibu Visited because we were captivated by the fancy appearance of the parfaits. The taste was just like fruit, haha. They say the main dishes are delicious. Recommended if you want to experience a kissaten atmosphere. Day 5: Ginza 📍 Unitora Nakadoori Branch A famous kaisendon restaurant in Tsukiji Market, known for its seafood. They open at 8 am, and there is a huge wait from early morning.
