Day 4️⃣ 📍Badaling Great Wall—Sanlitun Taikoo Li 🧗Climbing the Great Wall: We woke up early and took the high-speed train to the Badaling Great Wall, which took about half an hour, much faster than the bus. After arriving, we climbed from the first tower to the eighth tower on the north side and then returned the same way. It took less than three hours in total. We didn't need to take the cable car at all. The climb was very easy, and the scenery was also great. We conquered the Great Wall with ease🤏. I tried to find a good way to eat it but couldn't convince myself, so I ended up giving it to my boyfriend😙. Jiaoquan is crispy and doesn't have much of a taste on its own. Miancha is rich, and the braised meatballs are savory. These two were more acceptable. Overall, as a southerner, I'm not used to the taste😂. I'll just say I tried it. 🥳Entertainment: After breakfast, we immediately went to the Temple of Heaven. We saw the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Echo Wall, and the Circular Mound Altar. The architecture is solemn and sacred, and it's a great place to take photos. However, it was a bit of a pity to see that there were carvings on the walls, and the Echo Wall no longer echoes. We spent about two hours there and then left. ☝️Summary: Beijing's attractions are relatively concentrated, but most of them require reservations, so prepare in advance. They delivered it directly to the park, which was super cost-effective. 🎡 Fun: I happened to visit during a peak period (over 30,000 people), so I spent the whole day queuing and only managed to experience half of the popular attractions. My feet were killing me after standing all day😬, but as a strong, independent Chinese woman, I refused to buy an Express Pass, haha. I managed to go on all the rides I wanted most. It was a bit pricey, but the makeup was exquisite, way better than those assembly-line makeovers! 🥳 Fun: We didn't know that gege costumes weren't allowed at Tiananmen Square, so we were stopped when we finally got there.😭 We quickly took a taxi to the Forbidden City, but because we slept in late that day, by the time we arrived, it was past the latest entry time (3:30 pm). However, they still let us in! Thank goodness!🧎‍♀️ With limited time, we took the direct route, which took about 1.5 hours, and took tons of photos. It was a bit rushed, but we got some great shots. I'm very satisfied. I'll definitely come back again! 🍲 Dinner: We had copper hot pot. The flavor was relatively mild. Locals add ginger to the broth, eat mutton, and drink alcohol to ward off the cold. I guess we had to try it once to truly experience Beijing. 🚶 Stroll: After dinner, we walked through Beihai Park🌈. It's a large area, but very commercialized. We bought some snacks and went to Shichahai. There were lights in the evening, but the lake in the middle was too big, and there were no boats or lanterns, so it felt a bit empty.

You can take the subway Line 8 to Nanluoguxiang Station and walk to the destination in 15 minutes.
