The area used to be a deserted site of an old train line. It was recently redeveloped into Haeundae Blueline Park which consists of beach train and sky capsule for tourism purposes. Daritdol Observatory is at the fourth stop of the Haeundae beach train starting from Mipo station. We walked 600 m from Cheongsapo station (one of the sky capsule station) to the observatory instead as we didn't take the beach train. From afar, the observatory looked like a blue dragon stretching out over the ocean. Cheongsapo Daritol Observatory was not on our list to visit while in Busan. we saw the skywalk while taking the blueline park train. We get to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Although it was hot in summer, there was a lot of breeze. Not for those who is frighten of height as some part of the bridge is made of clear glass. At the end of Haeundae Beach is Mipo station where you can get on the train or sky capsule. It is one end of the rail line. You will continue away from Haeundae if you start there. I took a train from Cheongsapo to Mipo. Cheongsapo is a small seaside town. I had donuts at a place called Alice Donut. From Cheongsapo station I walked to the observatory deck which takes about 10 minutes. You will have to wear shoe coverings which is provided for you at the entrance. You can also walk on the wooden deck path back to Haeundae. The Sky Top Observatory at Gamcheon Culture Village offers superb views from its elevated position, overlooking the entire village and coastline. Remember to allow time for photos. There are many popular check-in spots, including rain boots, a mural depicting the Little Prince and the Desert Fox, a BTS mural, an observatory with a panoramic view of the village depicting the Little Prince and the Moon, and the I Love Gamcheon sign. There are also many small shops, so if you visit alone, it would probably take most of the day. ▶️Dinner "Haeundae Ginseng Chicken Soup" (해운대소문난삼계탕), a time-honored establishment 📍6 Jungdong 2-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea 🕘Weekdays: 10:30 AM–3:00 PM; 5:00 PM–9:00 PM The tour bus returned to Haeundae at almost 7:30 PM, and there was a bit of traffic. We stayed nearby for dinner and searched for the legendary Haeundae Ginseng Chicken Soup. It turned out to be near the hotel, not far from the beach and traditional markets. The staff recommended local ginseng chicken soup and Korean ginseng chicken soup. It closes at 9 PM, and the ginseng chicken soup also contains glutinous rice. Leave time to eat. They also come with a bottle of wine—it feels like a nourishing treat for autumn and winter. 🔹Itinerary Tips: This day trip from Haeundae doesn't have frequent capsule trains, so it's recommended to book your tickets early. Since it was fully booked online, I decided to join the one-day tour. The Cheongsapo Observatory and Skywalk feature glass floors, allowing those with a fear of heights to freely explore and even walk on the thicker structures. The Culture Village has many slopes and stairs, so remember to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated. Having fun is paramount. 🔹Transportation & Food Recommendations In Busan, T-money cards can be used for subways and buses, and some friends have used one-day passes. There are many restaurants near Haeundae Station, including BBQ, sushi, and ginseng chicken soup, which are excellent value for money! You can also find traditional snacks like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and gimbap near the Culture Village and in Gamcheon-dong Food Street. 🔹Practical Tips for Busan Itineraries: 1. The Haeundae Blue Line Park can have long lines during peak season, so avoid weekends and holidays for a more enjoyable experience. 2. The best time to take photos at the White Sands Culture Village is between 4 and 5 pm, with excellent lighting. 3. The Oryukdo Skywalk may be closed in rainy days or strong winds, so be sure to check the weather. 4. If you're taking a day trip, there are different stops: Busan Station, Seomyeon Station, and Haeundae Station.
