About the Exhibition
Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie is a multi-sensory tea showcase at the Asian Civilisations Museum, presented in collaboration with CHAGEE and the Singapore Tourism Board. Running from 28 January to 7 June 2026, the exhibition explores tea as a deeply human ritual shaped by centuries of craftsmanship, stories, and practices, while continuing to evolve through modern creativity.

What to Expect
Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie invites to re-experience tea beyond taste and smell, engaging the senses of sight, sound, touch, and contemplation. The exhibition unfolds as a progressive journey featuring historic collections, contemporary interpretations, and new artistic commissions by local creatives. Expect sculptural installations inspired by tea leaves, immersive soundscapes, fragrance-led experiences, and tactile explorations of tea-making tools — all designed to encourage stillness, reflection, and mindfulness.

Historic tea wares, presented alongside contemporary CHAGEE cups and nature-inspired communal spaces, highlight tea not just as a cultural artefact, but as a living practice that continues to connect people across cultures and time.
