The walk through the red-rock canyons, the quiet paths, the viewpoints and finally reaching the Monastery made the whole experience feel like an actual adventure rather than just sightseeing. A few tips if you’re planning Petra: wear proper walking shoes because you’ll easily spend hours on your feet, bring plenty of water and sun protection, and don’t rush your visit. If you want to reach the Monastery with less uphill climbing, you can also consider the backdoor route — there’s a shuttle connection followed by a local jeep ride, then you approach Petra from the Monastery side and walk mostly downhill through the site. The back route was also noticeably quieter when I went, which made the journey feel even more special. And most importantly — don’t plan Petra only around the Treasury. Keep walking. #epictravelmoments If you’re visiting Petra, here’s one route I absolutely loved and would personally choose again: start from the back entrance. Instead of beginning from the usual main entrance, I took the free shuttle towards Little Petra, then transferred to a jeep. I paid 20 JOD for the jeep when I visited, and from there we continued towards the starting point of Petra’s back route. And honestly… I LOVED doing Petra this way. The biggest difference for me was the crowd. Starting from the back felt so much quieter and more peaceful. I didn’t feel like I had to rush anywhere, so I could actually stop, enjoy the landscape, take photos and appreciate how EPIC Petra really is. And then comes my favourite part… Instead of approaching The Monastery from inside Petra and climbing all those steps UP, I came in from the other direction. Which meant afterwards… I was going DOWN the long staircase instead. 😂 That made the journey so much more enjoyable for me! You slowly make your way through the mountains, arrive at the incredible Monastery, then continue downhill through Petra towards the rest of the ancient city. No rushing. Much fewer people at the beginning. Beautiful mountain scenery. And less of that “WHY AM I STILL CLIMBING?!” feeling. 😂 For me, seeing Petra this way made the whole experience feel like an actual journey rather than just visiting one famous landmark. You can explore modern cities, tropical islands, tea plantations, ancient rainforests, and some of the best food in Asia – all in one trip. It's also one of the easiest and most comfortable countries to travel around. 🇮🇷 Iran Few places have changed my expectations as much as Iran. Stunning architecture, historic cities, colorful mosques, and some of the warmest people I've ever met make it an unforgettable destination. Every city feels different, and every conversation becomes part of the journey. 🇹🇯 Tajikistan If you love mountains, Tajikistan is pure magic. The Pamir Highway is one of the world's great road trips, with dramatic landscapes, remote villages, high-altitude lakes, and scenery that seems almost unreal. It still feels like a true adventure destination. These countries may not always appear on the usual travel lists, but each one gave me experiences I still think about long after returning home. So, we finally set off on our long-awaited "one-day" tour—though with travel time factored in, it actually takes almost two full days! 😱 Here's the standard itinerary: · 12:00 AM - 2:00 AM: Hotel pickup and transfer to the port of Nuweiba (approx. 3 hours). · 6:00 AM: Departure via high-speed ferry to Jordan (approx. 1 hour).
