Planning to go to Guizhou? Don't come here

I had a hard time deciding whether to go to Zhenyuan or Miao Village when I traveled to Guizhou before. Finally, I took the advice of the locals and chose Zhenyuan. 🧭Travel Guide: Zhenyuan is really nice! Compared to Miao Village, which has many slopes, making it tiring to walk around, and is heavily commercialized with expensive hotels, Zhenyuan offers much better value for money. It is nestled by the mountains and water, has unique characteristics, and is not overly commercialized, exuding a strong sense of local life. At night, the red lanterns along both sides of the Wuyang River light up, creating a beautiful scene! There aren't many tourists during the day, but it gets lively at night, with many people renting Miao costumes to take night photos. Zhenyuan, a thousand-year-old town and a 5A scenic spot in Guizhou, is known as the 'Venice of the East.' The ancient town itself does not require an entrance fee, but some attractions inside do. For example, the Qinglong Cave, an ancient architectural temple complex built on the mountain, has an entrance fee of 60 yuan per person. It's truly amazing to see the craftsmanship and wisdom of the ancients. If you have the stamina, you can climb Shibing Mountain for 30 yuan per person and get a panoramic view of the ancient town from the top. If you want to take a boat ride, it's 70 yuan per person, and you can enjoy the night view of the ancient town along the Wuyang River. Zhusheng Bridge is also a great spot for photos. There are many water activities like jet skiing, water sofas, and water flying, which are all very fun. In the evening, you can go to the bar street, have a drink, and experience the nightlife of the ancient town. 🏨Hotel Guide: We stayed at Jiulong Yipin Hotel, which had a very rich breakfast and a viewing terrace with great scenery. 👍Route Guide: We started from Hangzhou, went to Sansui first, and then took a bus from the Sansui hub (right next to the train station) to Zhenyuan for 25 yuan per person. After arriving in Zhenyuan, we had to take a bus to the ancient town. However, we booked a car online for 50 yuan per person, which took us directly to the hotel in Zhenyuan Ancient Town, making it convenient and hassle-free. 🍲Local Delicacies: Yuan's Tofu Pudding, An's Baked Cake, Weixiao Bridge Cold Noodles, Liangyouyou Ice Sweet Wine, and Sour Soup Fish are all very delicious and must-tries. ✨Other Tips: Zhenyuan Ancient Town is suitable for all ages, with unique scenery and entertainment projects that young people will love. The whole town is not big, making it easy to stroll around. Two days and one night is just right for a visit.
