Nuodeng Village

Nuodeng Village's alleys crisscross, all paved with uniform stone slabs. The houses are built against the mountain, and there are steps every three steps and platforms every five steps. No one can count how many steps there are in the village. We stayed at the Ancient Well Inn in the village. The only way to enter the village is to climb the steps, and luggage can be carried up the mountain by mules. There is no serious commercialization here, and the villagers living in the village are all Bai people. In the early morning, the roosters crow and the dogs bark, and every house is emitting wisps of cooking smoke, giving off a strong smell of life.
