Today's destination is Nuodeng Ancient Village. The first time I came to Dali, I wanted to visit this place. It was only on my third visit that I had the chance. Nuodeng is a lesser-known ancient village in Dali. It preserves many buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Living off salt production and ham, three-hundred-year-old residences sit quietly in what seems like frozen time, idly daydreaming as they watch the wisps of cooking smoke, the sunrise, and sunset.
