There is an old house in the base, which is a two-story old house with white ceramic tile veneer. Entrusted by the owner's family, the architect integrates the orderly and free courtyard form of the "West Anhui Mansion" with ten courtyards, and gradually unfolds a spatial drama through the variation of space, color, and material, integrating warmth and calm, brightness and shadow, roughness and refinement, nature and man-made, people can live here in a thousand different ways, which is Qingxi Xingguan. Yuexi is the center of the architectural pedigree in the Wan-Gan area, located at the junction of Anhui, Jiangxi and Hubei, and has been on the main road of Hakka immigrants since ancient times. A large number of immigrants from the Poyang Lake area in northern Jiangxi migrated to Anqing Prefecture and other places from Waxie Dam in the early Ming Dynasty. The immigrant factor makes this place a sub-cultural area of Gan culture. Therefore, the traditional vernacular architecture of Yuexi reflects a pedigree matrix similar to the Gan system in architectural structure and courtyard form, and there are many differences from Huizhou dwellings in form and proportion scale, especially represented by the "West Anhui Mansion". The "West Anhui Mansion" is often built by mountains and rivers, composed of continuous patios and courtyards, forming multiple living cores; the stepped gable wall is similar to the horse head wall form in Huizhou architecture, but the proportion is slightly different, more simple. Perhaps because it is adjacent to the Huizhou residential area, the "West Anhui Mansion" is often overlooked in the study of vernacular architecture. The base is at the end of the rural road, but it is the beginning of the mountain landscape. Bamboo forests, terraces, scales, elevations, media, and even some kind of imagination from history have buried many fragmented clues for the design. Through platforms, turns, openings, and micro-architectural communities, the vast mountainous rural scenery is introduced into the quiet courtyard. The cross-shaped courtyard planning follows the "West Anhui Mansion" crisscrossed trunk-branch layout, with mountains as screens and water as neighbors, extending to the two axes in the vertical and horizontal directions. The front courtyard and back hall in the "West Anhui Mansion" here evolved into the first public courtyard transformed from the original building and the expanded lobby. Name: Qingxi Xingguan Facility
