The 'Little Potala Palace' hidden deep in the Taihang Mountains, no tickets required

However, it is called the 'Little Potala Palace' hidden deep in the Taihang Mountains. Dapin Village does not require tickets and has a history of thousands of years! Dapin Village, named after the three waterfalls in the village, is a combination of farming and pastoralism, passed down from generation to generation. The history of the village can be traced back to the Jin Dynasty according to the stone carvings in the temple. In addition, Dapin Village is the oldest existing village in Yu County to date. Dapin Village (pronounced 'pin' in the fourth tone, read 'chng' by locals) is located in the deep valleys of Liangjiazhaixiang, Yu County, Shanxi Province. It is an ancient village with Huizhou architectural features and southern stilted building style, and still retains the original farming appearance. According to the records of the ancient temple stone Buddha stele in the village, it has a history of more than 1500 years. The entire village is located on a large mountain stone, all houses are built according to the mountain, layered on top of each other, staggered and unique, up to fourteen layers, known as the 'Potala Palace' deep in the Taihang Mountains.
