New Taipei City Buffet: Jin Da Chu Sukiyaki

Still recovering from the heartbreak of not having a buffet in Hawaii, I decided to indulge in another buffet to replenish some protein ❤️ Unfortunately, the 'buy four, get one free' voucher had expired 🥲. However, Jin Da Chu's pricing is quite reasonable and competitive. There are only two meal options here: A and B. You can upgrade to unlimited Wagyu beef and Häagen-Dazs for an additional $199. The dining time is 90 minutes (though they don’t rush you on weekdays), so I decided not to upgrade 😅. Weekday lunch for option B costs $618 per person, offering nearly ten types of meat, including the delicious boneless short ribs! Ordering is done by scanning a QR code. You can order up to three items at a time, and after one minute, you can place another round of orders. The process is smooth and quick. You can choose two soup bases for a dual hot pot. The pot is deep, allowing you to cook a lot at once! Today, I only ordered beef. Besides trying the boneless short ribs, I also ordered beef chuck and marbled shoulder once each. They were all good, but the boneless short ribs were the best—perfectly marbled! So I ended up ordering only this later on. The self-service bar is quite extensive, offering a variety of vegetables (over 20 types of vegetarian options), hot pot ingredients (including fried dough sticks), steamed dim sum, curry rice, and Jin Feng braised pork rice. Of course, there are also desserts, fruits, and ice cream. Dining time is officially 90 minutes, with ordering allowed for the first 60 minutes.
