This niche museum blew my mind.

I hadn't even heard of the Qinghai Tibetan Culture Museum before I planned my trip to Xining (facepalm), and I knew next to nothing about Tibetan culture at the time, only that there was a massive 618-meter Thangka. I regretted not allocating more time as soon as I entered the museum... and was eventually ushered out by the closing announcement. But it was truly amazing! Almost everyone lingered in front of the 618-meter Thangka, marveling and gazing intently. Long story short, not only is there a Guinness World Record-breaking giant Thangka created by 400 painters over 4 years, but there are also detailed exhibits of ethnic clothing and architecture, daily life, history and culture, medicine, Tibetan books... all kinds of records and displays. It has everything, encompassing all aspects of Tibetan culture. Introduction: Located in Xining, the Qinghai Tibetan Culture Museum is the only national first-class museum that comprehensively collects, protects, displays, researches, educates, and inherits Tibetan culture. With a total area of 12,000 square meters, it is the only museum in the world dedicated to the comprehensive collection, protection, display, and research of Tibetan culture. Exhibition Halls: Starting from the second floor, there are four exhibition halls, including the Ethnic Clothing Hall, Carpet Art Hall, Tibetan Architecture Art Hall, and Tibetan Calligraphy Art Hall.
