Xin County Ginkgo Village is located in Yanggaoshan Village, Qianjin Township, Xin County, Xinyang City, Henan Province. Yanggaoshan Village is known as the "First Ginkgo Village in Central China." With a forest coverage rate of 88%, it is known as a "natural oxygen bar." The village is home to many ancient ginkgo trees, with more than 6,800 trees, including 310 ginkgo trees over 100 years old and 66 ginkgo trees over 1,000 years old. In late autumn and early winter, the leaves of the ginkgo trees gradually turn golden yellow, which is very beautiful. In addition to the thousand-year-old ginkgo trees, there are also ancient oil tea trees, with golden stamens and snow-white petals adorning the branches, echoing the golden ginkgo leaves, making the village even more charming. Following the winding mountain road into Yanggaoshan Village, the ancient charm of the village is fascinating. In front of the village's iconic archway, there is a pool of clear water, and a 500-year-old ginkgo tree sways in the wind, accompanied by old houses with earthen walls and black tiles, forming a traditional Chinese painting with the distant mountains and fields. Yanggaoshan Village also has some other attractions, such as the Wangwa Ancient Ginkgo Group, Gaomenkou Ancient Residence, Gaoshan Chong Persimmon Garden, and the former site of Yang Leyang's revolutionary activities. There are more than 200 persimmon trees over 100 years old, and in autumn, the branches are full of red persimmons. Yanggaoshan has unique ecological resources, with more than 1,000 plant species, including more than 500 tree species, more than 400 herbaceous species, and more than 20 ancient and famous trees such as ginkgo, persimmon, black locust, yellow lotus, and holly.
