A City with a lot of Stone

Xi’an has a fair share of scenic spots to visit when you go but none more recommended than the City Wall. I stayed in the Ibis Hotel at Drum Tower so it was around 15 minutes to walk down to the city wall entrance. Most people opt to use a bike while on the wall as it’s a fascinating ride around the whole city. Tickets are purchased before you enter, and while it tells you to purchase beforehand, you can just use WeChat to buy as you get there. I was recommended to visit at dusk as you can see the wall and the view as the sunsets and I would equally recommend this time too. The wall isn’t as busy at this time as it’s typically dinner time for many Chinese and the suns heat is still there should you be visiting in the Summer like me. Along the wall, there are small shops and drinks areas but as you first enter, there is a lovely small cafe just to the left which has an interesting selection of drinks. #urbanexplorer #staycation #awesomepic #ancientcity #summervacation
