The Best Preseved City wall in China

#china #xiancitywall #urbanexplorer Xi’an in Shaanxi province is well known for the famous burial site of the first emperor of China, but you mustn’t miss it’s other treasures whilst staying there. The fortifications of the ancient city are some of the largest, oldest and best preserved in all of China. Dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties the wall encased an area of around 14 square kilometres - so get ready for some serious exercise! We hired bicycles on the top of the wall and spent the evening exploring the various structures atop it as well as the glittering views of the city. Once coming down, make sure to take the quick walk to the Drum tower (third photo) for another beautiful view.
