First time in Xi'an Muslim Street, a journey of food and culture.

๐ŸŒŸ Walked to Muslim Street from the Bell Tower, which is quite close. Arrived at Muslim Street at 11:00, feeling hot and hungry, so we quickly found a restaurant at the main entrance and chose Lao Sun Jia for lamb paomo. Although our friend told us not to eat there and recommended better options, we were too tired to walk. The portions were large, and we couldn't finish them. ๐ŸŒŸ If you visit this restaurant again, go directly to the second floor, as it's quieter and less crowded. ๐ŸŒŸ This visit was spontaneous, so we just strolled around to get a feel for the atmosphere of Xi'an Muslim Street. Next time, we'll come back for a deeper culinary experience. ๐ŸŒŸ Passed by Huang Jia Persimmon Cake Shop and bought some delicious treats. We originally wanted to find Pangzi Zenggao but couldn't, and we were tired. We also bought some yogurt drinks along the way. It was too hot to eat anything, but it was still enjoyable. Took photos along the way, and everyone we met, including shop owners and drivers, emphasized that there weren't many people compared to holidays. Since Shanghai's summer vacation starts earlier, there were fewer people, but the streets were still crowded. ๐ŸŒŸ Muslim Street is large, and locals call it Huifang. Tourists usually visit the main street, which is more expensive and caters to tourists. Locals go to smaller alleys like Miao Hou Street and Da Mai Street. We were too tired to explore the small streets, so we just strolled around to soak in the atmosphere. This visit was a preliminary experience of Xi'an Muslim Street's charm. Friends also sent recommendations, but we were too tired to walk. We'll come back for a deeper exploration next time. ๐ŸŒŸ There's also the Great Mosque of Huajue Lane, one of China's four major mosques, featuring wooden and stone archways, pavilions with flying eaves, and octagonal towers. Note: Visitors should dress appropriately, avoid revealing clothing, women can't wear skirts, and non-halal and alcoholic foods are not allowed. Ticket prices: Peak season CNY 25/person, off-season CNY 15/person Opening hours: 08:00-19:00 Address: No. 30 Huajue Lane, Lianhu District, Xi'an (behind the Drum Tower, inside Muslim Street). ๐ŸŒŸ The weather showed 38ยฐC, but it felt like 40ยฐC at noon. We planned to visit another attraction, but after lunch, we decided to go back and rest in the air conditioning. Watched a documentary about the Hexi Corridor to prepare for the next part of the trip.

It's a food court, but it has super delicious special coffee. When you enter the door, there are all kinds of original art peripherals of Xi'an artists. It's a very cute contrast. It's a creative bun.
