I'm really impressed with this Atour S Hotel in Urumqi!

After staying at numerous homestays during our Xinjiang loop trip, we chose this hotel for our final stop in Urumqi to refresh our urban memories haha. This stay completely changed my perception of Atour Hotels. The hotel features a black, white, and gray color scheme, maintaining its signature sophisticated minimalist style. The floor-to-ceiling windows immediately caught my attention upon entering - excellent natural lighting and expansive views. The bedding features Atour's signature deep-sleep memory foam mattress (so comfortable!), and the two pairs of pillows with different firmness levels were a lifesaver for my neck! The bathroom is stocked with a complete set of Lelabo Hinoki series toiletries, specially customized by Atour with this French brand! The premium fragrance leaves you feeling soft and fragrant after showering. The room also includes a complimentary mini-bar with eco-friendly paper cups. ✨And get this!! The TV displays real-time laundry room availability - no more wasted trips!✨ Atour's breakfast has always been highly praised. The Chinese breakfast section offers freshly steamed buns, fried dough sticks, and tofu pudding - a bowl of warm congee in the morning really hits the spot!🔥 Naturally, in Xinjiang, you can't miss local specialties like baked buns and naan bread. The Western section has croissants, fried eggs with bacon, etc. - so many choices it's dazzling! They also offer healthy options like fresh juices, freshly ground soy milk, and coffee. After overindulging in Xinjiang cuisine the previous day, these were perfect for balancing out the greasy food - very gentle on the stomach. The public areas feel like a small art gallery! The corridors display stunning landscape photographs of Urumqi by young photographers. The "Bamboo House" reading lounge is filled with humanities books (free to read, and members can return books at different locations). The poetry wall by the elevators is super fun - perfect for reading poems or taking photos while waiting. The hotel is located in the core area of Xinshi District, just 20 minutes' drive to the airport and right next to Huangshan Street subway station. It's super convenient for visiting attractions like the International Grand Bazaar and Red Hill Park.
