There’s something almost surreal about the way Tromsø holds light in summer ⛅️ not bright or showy, but soft, endless. Like time forgot to keep moving. 🕊️ We walked past rows of wooden 🪵 houses painted in quiet colors. Pale blues, warm reds, creams that looked like they belonged to the sea. The streets were calm, but never empty. The kind of quiet where you can hear your own breath and still feel completely held by the place. 🌅 Midnight sun ☀️ that was the thing. Standing by the water at nearly 1am, and the sky still lit in shades of apricot and silver. People were still out, chatting softly on benches, kids riding bikes like it was early evening ✨ But your body knows it isn’t. That strange, glowing stillness stays with you. 🌉 The bridge across the fjord felt like it stretched forever. On one side: the Arctic Cathedral, standing like folded paper glowing from the inside. On the other: the mountains 🏔️ blue-grey, snow still tucked into their folds even in July. 🐟 In the harbor, the air smelled like salt and warm stone. We tried grilled cod and creamy fish soup from a quiet café ☕️ near the edge. It tasted simple and honest, like it came from somewhere close, probably because it did. 🗻 Took the Fjellheisen cable car up Mount Storsteinen. The wind was colder up there, but clean.
