[Sacred forest full of healing effects]

📍Sogochi Shrine, Ehime Prefecture It is said to have been founded in the 22nd year of the Enryaku era (803) under Emperor Kanmu as the main guardian deity of Kawanouchi. In front of the torii gate is the sacred tree "Urajirogashi", a prefectural designated natural monument that is over 1,000 years old. (Height 11m, width 6m.) There is also a shrine office and haiku monument where the haiku poet Matsune Toyojo stayed for a year and a half, which he named "Ichijo-an", and a seasonal cherry tree that blooms from autumn to spring, which he named "Hyakunizakura". There are also magnificent stone walls and a small garden in a large forest full of healing effects.
