Exploring Kanto's Most Beautiful Train Station | Umishibaura

Hey everyone, today I’m sharing a stunning hidden gem with few visitors—Umishibaura Station! It’s officially recognized as one of the top 100 most beautiful train stations in the Kanto region. 📍 Umishibaura Station is located next to the Toshiba factory in Yokohama’s Tsurumi Ward. You can reach the terminal station in about 10 minutes by taking the Umishibaura Line from JR Tsurumi Station. This line is primarily used by factory employees commuting to work, and non-employees are not allowed to exit the station. As soon as you arrive, the train doors open to reveal the inner Tokyo Bay. On a clear, cloudless day, the sea and sky blend into a surreal shade of blue—it’s breathtaking! Once the employees leave the station, the place becomes quiet, making it the perfect spot to sit back, sip coffee, and enjoy the ocean view. At the end of the station, there’s Umishi Park, which features a few benches facing the sea. Sitting there, feeling the sea breeze and admiring the view, is pure bliss. Tsurumi is a relatively off-the-beaten-path area with few tourists, but it’s easily accessible with both Keikyu and JR train stations.
