Water Light and Reflections: Encountering Monet's Water Lilies at the National Museum of Western Art

Walking along the tree-lined paths of Ueno Park, with a gentle breeze blowing, the National Museum of Western Art stands quietly, like a box that holds time. This time, the special exhibition of Monet's 'Water Lilies' has attracted countless art lovers. With a heart full of poetic expectations of light and shadow, I pushed open the door to art. The lighting in the exhibition hall is soft, and Monet's 'Water Lilies' series is spread out on the walls. The layers of ripples and light in the paintings seem to extend throughout the entire space. I stopped in front of one of the paintings, where the dark green floating leaves, soft pink flowers, and changing sky light intertwined, making me feel as if I were in the pond of Giverny.
