#0yentravelautumn I went to Imado Shrine in Asakusa, Tokyo⛩️ This is a very popular shrine for matchmaking☺️ Izanagi-no-Mikoto and Izanami-no-Mikoto, the first married couple in Japan, are enshrined at Imado Shrine. As they are considered the gods of marriage, they are said to bring good luck in love and marital harmony. There were lots of maneki-neko (beckoning cats) in the shrine grounds🙂 Imado Shrine is said to be the birthplace of maneki-neko (beckoning cats)!
