Sunshine Aquarium's Jellyfish!!

In July 2020, Sunshine Aquarium established a new exhibition area called 'Kura-ge Ku-kan' (Jellyfish Fantasy) to showcase the charm of jellyfish, based on their previous breeding experience and knowledge. The entire space, including the shape of the tanks, water flow, lighting, and sound, has been meticulously designed to enhance the floating and relaxing sensation that jellyfish provide. The exhibition features the 'Jellyfish Panorama,' a large tank with a width of approximately 14 meters, making it one of the largest jellyfish displays in Japan, showcasing moon jellyfish. Additionally, there is the 'Jellyfish Screen,' a 4-meter-wide tank displaying the beautiful long tentacles of sea nettles, the 'Jellyfish Tunnel,' which surrounds visitors with jellyfish, the 'Jellyfish Loupe,' the 'Jellyfish Drop,' and the 'Mugen Kurage' (Infinite Jellyfish), creating an extraordinary space. Many people find themselves mesmerized by the sight of jellyfish floating and drifting in the water, their translucent and mysterious shapes moving with the water flow, making them lose track of time.
