[Tokyo/Meguro] Is this really inside a hotel?! Limited-time summer event

Tokyo 𓂃 𓈒𓏸 Meguro Hotel Gajoen Tokyo Hotel Gajoen Tokyo in Meguro. The "Hundred Steps Staircase", a tangible cultural property designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, is holding a press event called "Japanese Lights x Hyakudan Staircase 2024 ~Beautiful Fairy Tales~" until Monday, September 23rd. The other day, I visited the press ahead of the opening. The "Hundred Steps Staircase" is a common name for the Meguro Gajoen Building 3, the predecessor of Hotel Gajoen Tokyo, which was built nearly 90 years ago and is the only wooden building still standing in the building. The seven rooms connected by the staircase each have a different theme, and the ceilings and transoms are filled with a world of stunning beauty. Currently, a special exhibition is being held at the cultural property "Hundred Steps Staircase", which changes the theme every year and brings together art works of various genres and traditional crafts. This year's theme is "Beautiful and Enchanting Fairy Tales" 🎋 Starting with fictional stories, we went up the stairs to find The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, The Legend of Kuzunoha, The Heavenly Maiden's Feather Robe, and each room had a different fairy tale world 🌍 Art is not just about space and objects, but also music and scents, so you can enjoy it with all five senses 🫧 There are mechanisms everywhere that invite you into a mysterious and beautiful world 🐈 There are many collaborations between artists from all over the country, and artworks created specifically for this exhibition, and about 40 artists are participating in this exhibition 🧐!
