Hateruma Island is a hidden gem with few people

Hateruma Island is the southernmost inhabited island in Japan. The highlight is the "Hateruma Blue" that can be seen from a spot called Tetra! If you don't know how to get there, just ask a nearby old man and he will tell you! The island itself is small enough that you can get around it in 1-2 hours by bicycle. Cute goats will greet you when you arrive ^_^ There are few places to eat lunch, so be sure to check or buy a lunch box at the remote island terminal on Ishigaki Island before boarding the boat!
