Taipei Marriott Hotel, Cai Hui Lunch Buffet

A consistently delightful dining experience is something to look forward to every month 🥰 In July, I was upgraded to a Platinum Card member. I enjoyed dinner at the beginning of the month and lunch at the end 🥳 Just in time for the buffet table adjustments, which introduced many new dishes! The buffet at Marriott isn’t huge but is divided into four main sections: Fresh seafood, hot dishes, appetizers & fruit salads, and desserts & beverages. Each section has its own highlights. The fresh seafood area offers items rarely seen at other buffets, like cobia fish. The hot dishes section is packed with must-try items! Unfortunately, the sous-vide flank steak and scallops were removed from the menu. Luckily, the roasted ribeye today was exceptional, comparable to A5-grade Wagyu ribeye—I couldn’t resist having two servings 💞. There was also a savory and addictive crispy pork rib dish today! Signature dishes like the beef soup and Wagyu consommé are absolute must-haves 🤤. For dinner, exclusive ingredients like mantis shrimp and Japanese oysters 🦪 are now available every evening! The Thai-inspired dishes include coconut curry with crispy rice, Thai-style three-flavor fish, classic Thai beef salad, Thai spicy chicken, and coconut mango sticky rice, among others. Nearby, the Wagyu consommé and Kung Pao abalone chicken are also worth trying! The appetizer section is vibrant, but after indulging in extra slices of steak, I didn’t have room for more 😅. The dessert section maintains its high standards, featuring mille-feuille, caramel crème brûlée, and chocolate desserts—all fantastic! Don’t miss the croissant waffles paired with ice cream; they’re incredibly satisfying 🥰. Lunch desserts include macarons, which are not available during afternoon tea. Lunch hours are 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM (food service ends at 2:00 PM), giving you 3 hours to chat and enjoy 😸. Regarding Marriott membership, the Silver Card is free to join. Spend NT$10,000 to upgrade to Gold Card membership, which includes one buy-one-get-one-free lunch voucher per month (limited to two groups of four people starting in 2024). For every NT$100 spent, you earn one point, which can be redeemed for various items within the Taipei Marriott Hotel, such as signature dishes, Cai Hui buffet meals, and discounted accommodations.
