Revisiting Yun Jin Chinese Restaurant at Grand Hyatt Taipei

It's been a long time since my last visit to Yun Jin Chinese Restaurant 🥳. I'm truly grateful to Grand Hyatt for organizing an event featuring eight top restaurants, giving me the chance to dine again at one of my favorite Chinese restaurants from last year, Yun Jin! By the way, new members who apply for the Grand Hyatt Gourmet Card in 2025 can enjoy a 50% discount for two people on weekdays if they dine before the end of September 💞. Yun Jin Chinese Restaurant, which cost 70 million TWD to create, boasts a luxurious and elegant dining space with vibrant colors and modern Oriental elements. It specializes in authentic flavors from Sichuan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Beijing, and Taiwan 💞. The restaurant offers both à la carte and set menu options, including appetizers, hot meat dishes, seafood, vegetarian hot dishes, soups, staple dishes like noodles and dim sum, and desserts. Yesterday's lunch menu featured cold dishes, hot dishes, soup, and dessert. The must-order cold dishes every time I visit are the Roasted Pepper Century Egg and Spicy Pork Ear Slices, and yesterday was no exception 😓. For the hot dishes, we had Golden Crispy Chicken, Spicy Duck Blood and Intestines, Daughter's Red Chicken Broth Fish, Braised Eggplant, Spicy Belt Noodles, and the signature Fish Maw and Ham Chicken Soup, which requires a three-day advance reservation. The hot dishes were truly top-notch. The Spicy Duck Blood and Intestines and Golden Crispy Chicken are must-orders every time 🥰. New dishes recommended by the restaurant were the Braised Eggplant and Spicy Belt Noodles, both of which were flavorful and delicious. The Daughter's Red Chicken Broth Fish offered three distinct flavors, with tender and tasty fish meat that amazed everyone! Another must-try is the Celery and Cod Dumplings handmade by Yun Jin's chefs. Although each costs $70, they are incredibly fresh and delicious—definitely worth it 😂. The Fish Maw and Ham Chicken Soup was packed with large chunks of fish maw, so generous it might even be intimidating. The chefs certainly didn't hold back when making the soup 😆. For dessert, we had Almond Tofu, which is currently my personal Top 1 dessert—so good I could easily have three bowls in a row. Thank you, Yun Jin, for treating us to Red Bean Sponge Cake and fresh fruit 🙏. The sponge cake rivals that of Din Tai Fung, showcasing the incredible skills of the chefs!
