It was built as a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture. The current one was renovated around 1953-1956. 📒: The word Sri comes from the original local Thai word, Sahli, which means Bodhi tree. Therefore, the name Sri Chum means a grove of Bodhi trees. However, in the chronicles of Ayutthaya written in the late Ayutthaya period, this meaning is no longer understood. Therefore, this place is called Rishi Chum, which is the place where King Naresuan the Great gathered his troops. The battle at that time was between Thais, which caused the soldiers to lose their spirit and not want to fight.
