#singaporetrip Mr. Onigiri at VivoCity has become a bit of a comfort spot for us. The interior's nothing fancy, but it's got a cosy charm — a few counter seats, some simple tables, and this unexpectedly cute little tree in the middle that gives the space a homely, zen vibe. Sometimes we eat in when we’re hungry on the spot, but most of the time, we like to takeaway and head up to VivoCity’s SkyPark for a breezy, open-air meal with views of the harbour and Sentosa. The real star here is their onigirazu — and wow, they don’t hold back on size. These are not your average rice balls. They’re massive, like full-on meals in one hefty, seaweed-wrapped package. Each one is generously packed with fillings — from melty cheese and crispy chicken to grilled salmon or mentaiko goodness — all layered between soft Japanese rice and neatly wrapped like a sandwich. It’s satisfying, super filling, and always feels like value for money. We usually get a couple of sides too — crab cream croquettes, cheese sticks, or their seasonal specials — just to round things out if we’re feeling extra peckish. But honestly, one onigirazu can already leave you stuffed.
