Unparalleled Bay Views at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

This Ritz-Carlton, not participating in the Marriott Bonvoy program, is located in Singapore. Situated on Marina Bay, adjacent to the Mandarin Oriental, I personally believe it offers the best vantage point for admiring Singapore's nightscape, day or night. Rooms: In land-scarce Singapore, rooms of this opulent size are few and far between. The rooms are exquisitely decorated with luxurious touches of wood and gold, exuding an "old money" aesthetic. The iconic octagonal window in the bathroom, paired with the boundless Marina Bay nightscape, is an absolute must-see! The bedding is also supremely comfortable. Common Areas: The lobby's decor is distinctly Ritz-Carlton, with a palpable sense of history and an "old money" ambiance. A connecting corridor links the hotel to the adjacent mall, a welcome feature in perpetually hot Singapore. The pool and spa are fully equipped, though they appear slightly dated compared to newer luxury hotels. Dining: I haven't dined here yet, but every time I pass by the restaurants, they seem bustling, suggesting they're quite popular with locals. Service: While my Titanium Elite status didn't yield many benefits, the front desk, upon learning of my late flight the next day, kindly extended my checkout time to 3 p.m.! Before leaving, they even allowed us to use the spa showers, a thoughtful gesture. The doormen and lobby staff were also incredibly welcoming, their genuine hospitality evident. Overall: With its prime location on Marina Bay, breathtaking views, and the Ritz-Carlton brand, this hotel is, in my opinion, the best choice for a two-day stopover in Singapore, besides Raffles and Capella.
