[Aichi] A shrine connected to Tokugawa Ieyasu ⛩️ Horaizan Toshogu Shrine

Horaisan Toshogu Shrine, located on Mount Horaiji in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture, is a shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, and is one of the three major Toshogu shrines along with those in Nikko and Kunozan! This Toshogu Shrine was built by Tokugawa Iemitsu, who was impressed by the legend of the "Toshosha Engi," and ordered the senior councilor Abe Bungonokami Tadaaki to build it, and was completed on September 17, 1651 (4th year of Keian).  The grounds are decorated with over 50 elaborate carvings, and their vivid colors convey the appearance of the time of its founding! In addition, the grounds are preserved with the first to third generations of Komainu, and the first Komainu in particular has a rounded shape because it was brought by soldiers on the front lines as a talisman to protect them from bullets☝🏽 Horaisan Toshogu Shrine is a cultural asset of great historical value, and is a valuable heritage that should be passed on to future generations!
