[Hokkaido] A story about being on a Shiretoko sightseeing boat a few months before the accident

Shiretoko is a place rich in nature that has been designated a World Heritage Site, and there is an activity that takes you on a small boat around the back side of the Shiretoko Peninsula, which you cannot reach on foot. The advantage of a small boat is that it can go into the gaps between the rocks, which large boats cannot reach, and you can observe Shiretoko up close. And if you're lucky, you might even encounter a brown bear, so we had a great time and returned home, but a few months later, we saw the news about an accident involving the sightseeing boat we were on. It's scary to think that we might have died, too.
