Ttaenggineun Nal Ramyeon Bar

#koreatrip I visited this place with little expectations assuming to be an average ramyeon(Korean ramen) restaurant, but I was wrong. Its signature menu, jjamppong ramyeon, is very unique and strong in flavor. I was sure that it will be very difficult to imitate the same taste at home. Jjamppong, is usually a Korean-Chinese spicy seafood noodle. Thus the jjamppong ramyeon consists of a bit of squid. Koreans eat ramyeon very regularly(some eat almost everyday), but if this ramyeon amazed Koreans, how much more of an experience will it be to foreigners who do not eat ramyeon on a regular basis? The price was also friendly, and the interior design reflecting traditional Korean home restaurant and dining room. (Might be uncomfortable as you have to sit crossed-leg on the floor) There was a special room for people who came alone to eat.(This room had bar type tables and chairs) You can choose the level of spiciness for the jjamppong ramyeon from High(aju me-un mat), Middle(me-un mat), and Low(deol me-un mat). You can also add cheese and raw eggs for 500 KRW each. Rice was 1,000 KRW. Warning: even the middle spicy level was spicy for me. I recommend the low level for a pleasant experience. *water and pickled radish is self-serving: you get water from the refrigerator yourself. Cups, plates, and pickled radish(danmuji) are in front of the fridge.
