It was a Kapalai Island Staycation 🇲🇾If you’re looking for a peaceful island escape with incredible photography spots, Kapalai Island is the perfect staycation destination 💯 We spent a few unforgettable days surrounded by crystal-clear waters, vibrant marine life, and breathtaking sunsets 🌅 The moment we arrived at Kapalai Dive Resort, we were amazed by the stunning overwater bungalows 🏘️ stretching across the turquoise sea 🌊 We highly recommend taking photos in the late afternoon, about an hour before sunset, when the warm golden light ✨ perfectly highlights the wooden 🪵 walkways and the endless horizon. The reflections on the calm waters create a dreamlike effect that is truly mesmerizing 🙌 📍Kapalai Island, Sabah, Malaysia We explored the vibrant underwater world right beneath our bungalows. Kapalai is famous for its clear waters and rich marine biodiversity, making it a paradise for underwater photography 📸 The best time to capture the colorful coral 🪸 reefs and exotic fish is between 10 AM and 2 PM, when the sun is at its peak, providing the best natural light ✨ for underwater shots. If you have a GoPro or waterproof camera 📸 this is the perfect place to use it! One of the most surreal experiences was visiting the Kapalai sandbanks, which appear during low tide. We recommend waking up early ⛅️ for sunrise, watching the first light ✨ touch the shallow waters is an unforgettable sight. If you have a drone, this is the ultimate spot to capture aerial shots 📸 of the tiny sandbars surrounded by deep blue and turquoise waters. It’s a photographer’s dream come true 🙌 Before leaving Kapalai 🏝️ we spent the evening at the resort’s jetty, which offers a panoramic view of the sea 🌊 The best time for photography here is right before sunset when the sky transforms into shades of orange, pink, and purple.
